New customization options for blood elves and void elves

Meh I would not call it a loss. And why is it childish if I am not satisfied? I mean I need to pay a monthly sub for this game.

It’s a hair colours… I’ve heard of people quitting over rediculous things but this takes the biscuit if im honest.

If that’s your opinion then I am fine ^^.

It is it just seems childish and toys out of pram to me but why don’t you spend your time more productively and find a game that suits you to play?

I already have a game that I might be returning to and I will be returning when we have our har colors. Because I really want to play high elves on the alliance and with these hair colors I just cant.

I will look like a High elf in SL but Im not a high elf im a void elf.

If you are happy with what you got more power to you ^^. I am just not and I will go back to another game in that time.

Your efforts probably better off spent there then as we will never be able to change the fact that we are Void elves.

I said this a lot of times I don’t care about these options anymore, but without the hair colors the high elf aesthetic won’t be complete. And blizzard said these are supposed to be high elf options.

They did NOT promise us a Full High elf option. They only said “a few” and what we got is pretty fair to me.

Think of the hair colors as a unique dye

Basically you can look like a High Elf, just like one with dark hair, or dyed hair. They did exist you know? They weren’t all blonde haired. I mean like, until 18 or so years ago, Rommath was a High Elf, he has dark hair.

You -can- look like a High Elf. Pale skinned, blue eyed. Blonde or even brown hair does not define a High Elf.

Blizzard have given the option to look like a High Elf.

Now people want more.

And some people want the right to toggle the name from Void Elf to High elf (as if that matters)

Where -do- you draw the line?

Most people only want the hair colors, I’m for that idea since it will finally give the full high elf aesthetic and the requests can finally end. But I agree with changing the names, racial to a arcane look is insane. But I think hair colors aren’t such a problem since Alleria still has her blonde hair.

I can’t think of the hair colors as a cool hair dye. Ive never seen any high elf with green or purple hair. They will look like skinny night elves

Beta will be around for some months yet. We already know that ongoing customisation is a thing. Last build they were focusing on raid testing. Customisations are not a priority as the art team work on many other assets for the game as well, but it doesn’t mean that the additions are over. Lend them the benefit of the doubt at least considering the expansion is far from finished.

Considering they said customization options were a core feature I would have expected in every build at least a hair or skin color to be added

Why? They’re not obligated to have it every build. They put them in to test them and when they’re ready. Torghast is a core feature, it doesn’t mean they have to update it with every build if their priority is elsewhere (e.g. raid design). The team have to put zones and armour etc ahead of character customisations, it doesn’t mean they’re not working on them just because the focus might be elsewhere for a few builds. We’re all waiting for stuff we want to see, just gotta be patient. :stuck_out_tongue:

You might be right. But I’m still not putting any hopes that more options will be added

Pretty sure Ion has also said in an interview that they will keep adding more customizations in upcoming patches, like they did with allied races.
Like, for example, Kul’tirans are in dire need of more options.

Most people want some normal hairstyles and natural hair colors. And what we get after that would just be a surprise. It can be void elf or high elf options we don’t know.

Perosnally the hair colours and styles seem like a reasonable idea to me.

Now look at the Quel’dorei thread.

See what -else- people are asking for?

Yeah, madness. And all the more likely to make sure people don’t even get the sensible options, because nobody is making up their mind as to what they mean by ‘High Elves’, Individuals are, but their suggestions range from the sensible to the unreasonable to the idiotic.

Thats the problem I’m trying to get across here.
Where is the line.

Some people are happy with what is, some will be happy when given new hairstyles and colours, some will only be happy when Paladins are added as a Void Elf class (Because that makes total sense), Some will only be happy when they can change the name that it says on their character screen to ‘High Elf’, Some will only be happy when the Void Elf race is outright renamed ‘High Elf’, some will only be happy when they have Silvermoon and have effectively removed an Alliance Allied Race, and a Core Horde Race, and warped the lore and plot to such a degree that the game makes no sense anymore apart to satisfy their own personal desire to play Legolas on Azeroth.

Until you get a sense of ‘what we all want’ as opposed to what the lunatic fringe want, then you aren’t going to get it.

Some people making the requests are being sensible, some are not. But it isn’t Blizzard’s job, or the job of Blood Elf mains to sort that out. It’s the job of High Elf fans to actually hammer down what they want “That, Nothing more, Thats it, Thats High Elves, that makes us happy and we will stop asking for more and more and more”

So get to it. Or you’ll get nothing.
