New customization options for blood elves and void elves

I think it’ll soon be time to bring back the list.

Because they are limited to one faction.

Nah, I think I’ll keep protesting the cloning of belfs instead.

So what? Why does that matter?

The Silver Covenant, a bunch of Stormwind, Northrend, Pandaria, Outland and other high elf NPCs say hi.

clearly the ultimate solution is the Elven Empire returning and leaving this two crap factions to their own ineptitude

Cause it’s on the other faction. That’s why it matters.

A anti belf device says hi to me. I say hi back cause it’s the nice thing to do. Still no justification to clone belfs.

High elves are already in the Alliance. Pandaren are already cross faction. Void elves can hide behind gear and be identical to blood elves.

Blizzard could have used any other races, but decided to add on to the high elf stories. Both as opposition to the blood elves, and to the development of Alliance stories and gameplay. Quest hubs, NPCs unrelated to blood elf gameplay, lore and game development say hi to me. You obviously don’t play on the Alliance. If you did, you’d see them all over.

You’re assuming I don’t think they should also?

you have to apply these things equally, as unless one Faction is utterly vanquished, the idea of only one side being able to call War crimes out is a fatuous one not backed up in our world, so as I always say, if something happens in real life, it ain’t ‘ridiculous’ for it to happen in the fantasy world. (I’m referring to the Mai Lai Massacre, and also the War crimes trials carried out against Coalition soldiers who were on the side who had just -won-)

Thats because when she is Lucid, Jaina is reasonable, and Lor’themar is a Blood Elf, they’re kind of known for being utter pragmatists. “A more than Ten Milennia old Snake Archmage Sorceress in league with the chaotic powers of destruction and entropy for the entire cosmos? Just us here to deal with it? Nah, let’s you and me fight instead!”

Kinda makes sense. LTT is still plenty annoyed about it, as you see when Alleria visits the Sunwell in the cutscene.

I smell crap writing. I know the incident you refer to, but it was awful writing. It was Orestes I think, the Blood Elf Farstrider. Vereesa would not have walked away from any conversation with Lor’themar, also, how was she doing that? He was nowhere near what happened, and was in fact still in Silvermoon. Are we expected to believe that Vereesa just waltzed up to Silvermoon, through the Shepherd’s Gate, up to Sunfury Spire and went “Oh, by the way, Orestes is dead, Soz” then left again?

How does that even work?

Where was her compassion when ordering you to murder unarmed civilians on Alliance side?

Jaina and Lor’themar may be very strained ‘frenemies’ but Vereesa is off the scale…

yes but Alleria, as I state, was -not- created the same way as every other Void Elf in existence, she is Unique. She is also a racial leader, and they are famed for looking…Unique.

Also, wait, The Void Elves have only one Racial Leader. If they have two that is a massive miscalculation and can be thrown in the face of all those Human Male Paladin posters who scream about ‘Horde Bias’. She’s the Nathanos to Umbric’s Sylvanas. He is the racial leader, because he is the one who…well, Led them!

If Void Elves truly are getting two Aesthetic looks, then, thats not cool, not cool at all. Not when Nightborne are stuck with their unfinished models and this effort is going into Voi-sorry, High Elves.

Yeah, I can see it. The Void would have corrupted people to greater or lesser degrees, I suppose it would be like radiation, the further away from the epicentre the less likely you are to be effected.

Wouldn’t have happened if Blizzard had gave them the helves like the players have asked it for years.

It’s not - but Velves shouldn’t exist to begin with. They are a compromise-race nobody has asked for.

Let’s cap the WM bonus at 200% which is generous and high enough to force more people in returning to the Alliance and giving the raid scene enough of a reason to switch back to them.

I think the Belves can stay on the Horde-side but given how popular they are we need them at the Alliance-side to bring some faction balance back to the game.

We will see how well this fares soon enough. Obviously they try to change something but won’t touch the racials.

Yes under one ruler who saved everyone in BfA! (literally) The lights of lights, daughter of the moon, her radiance, the light beneath the tides Queen Azshara!

no she was a terrible ruler … thats why our new ruler will be basic camp fire

She brought the Kaldorei empire to glory! She was no terrible ruler. She did mistakes yes. But they were necessary for her and her peoples ascension (me included)

I swear I will break something if u guys demand more for Void Elf and blood elfs now, I will scream, you’ve got enough, be happy

Cool, when do Horde get Ogres like the players have asked for for years? They are the direct comparison, been around in the faction for the same amount of time, been asked for, for the same amount of time, Is the Horde getting an option to make one of their Allied races look like an Ogre?

Oh wait. No. They’re not.

Actually, hang on, is the Horde getting -any- option to make themselves look like a Horde race by customisation of an existing Horde race at the expense of that race?

Why no, no it is not. Before you say Trolls skin colour, those are all enemies of the Horde, Thats not what High Elves are to teh Alliance.

And do you seriously think, if they had went “Yeah, lets give Alliance High Elves, and Horde Ogres, that actually makes lore sense in terms of numbers of both populations” That we would not have been -deluged- by the howls of indignation (Mainly from human male paladin posters) about how this was Horde Bias, despite it being something asked for by the Alliance fanbase? “Here, Alliance, Have High Elves” High Elves fans go Yay! “Here, Horde, have their equivalent, Ogres” Alliance fans go 'You wot…a new race, when we just get a reskin?

I refer you to the recent Mechagnome and Vulpera furore and how ridiculous that was.

And? Nobody on Horde asked for Nightborne, or Highmountain Tauren, or even for that matter Vulpera, in fact the threads asking for Vulpera were mostly asking for them to be Alliance side, despite that making no sense on the grounds of the Alliance going mini-genocide on them.

Wow…I mean, you are being sarcastic, right? It’s hard to tell with text based communication, I mean you’re not going more Retributor than Retributor here are you?
How do you think the raid scene is going to care about a Warmode Bonus? It has no impact on them?

No, I think they are fine where they are, Alliance can get the Tolkien elves, leave the Blood Elves of Quel’thalas out of this.

While it should be obvious that I don’t see why blood elves need to be so unique that they can’t even share hair colours - colours that are already common among humans (including worgen and Kul Tirans), dwarfs, gnomes, mechagnomes and others, there are still features that blood elves have access to that high or void elves wouldn’t. It’s time to bring back the list.

  1. Fel green eyes
  2. Golden eyes
  3. Most of the hawkstriders
  4. Bracelets (and body jewellery?)
  5. Earrings
  6. Necklaces
  7. Heritage armour (this is kind of a big deal, and guarantees faction uniqueness for those who feel strongly about that)
  8. Paladins (this is also a big deal)
  9. Demon hunters (biggie)
  10. Silvermoon city (very big deal, and one that should get some serious updates)
  11. Eversong forest (se point 10)
  12. Golden dragonhawks
  13. Arcane torrent
  14. The Horde (very big deal - like seriously, and we really don’t want it for the Alliance high elves)
  15. Certain hair styles (top ponytails and a select group of blood elf iconic hair styles should not be available to Alliance high/void elves)

And the list can be added to by existing and possible features. Uniqueness? Have your pick of at least 15 features that are and will be unique to Horde blood elves, even if the Alliance got everything that high elf NPCs currently have.

Feel free to add more points to the list. Meanwhile, I’ll keep on bugging the high elf community for a definite list of features we can agree on that would satisfy (and end) our request for playable high elves.

Do you wanna break Sylvanas’ neck with me? Or we could teleport her into the void where she won’t be a threat anymore

Nope, they have two racial leaders. You can research that yourself.

And Alleria is in no way similar to Nathanos.

Nathanos got his rank because he (ehm ehm) with Sylvanas and is loyal to her.

Alleria got the high rank of leader Because she is a leader, someone who many Thalassians follow and think of as a Hero.

She is not only heroic and brave, but also a great user of the Void using it for good, and not evil. THAT earned her leadership.

She is the one who voices the intro for the Void elves, similar to other racial leaders of the Allied races. ( literally explaining what the Void is)

She is the one who gifts us our Heritage armor and tells us how proud she is, similar to other racial leaders of the Allied races

She is the one who gives us the quest to go to Stormwind when we first make a Void elf, similar to other racial leaders

She is the one who led the Void elves in the Battle of Lordaeron.

She is more a leader than Umbric will ever be. If anything, he is the secondary leader.

I don’t remember him ever speaking to us. it was always Alleria speaking to us, and leading us. Umbric is like a silent goat that doesn’t do anything but stand like a statue.

Alleria is the first leader, Umbric is definitely the second. Although both of them are officially the Racial leaders.

All hail the Queen !

You’re legit the Annoyance in this forum, I see you in any Elf topic ever, You’ve got your High Elf now, and still I see u complaining and arguining in Void elfs- Blood Elfs topics, I get it, fanboying over elfs, but jeeez take a break.

Aight so point 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12 can be safely discarded as totally irrelevant.

YOU WILL GET THEM AND YOU WILL EMBRACE THEM111

I have no doubt that they have lay down the foundation for Half-ogres with the Kul-Tirans. Otherwise they could go full HotS and place two players into a ogre who will have some disadvantages, likely ranging from equipment to entering doors.

The development team has proven from time to time that they don’t care about their reasonings. Time travel to an alternate Draenor? Done! Having space ships in Legion and bring back dead characters through retcons! Deal! Having a faction war with a very special pull in the Sadfang/Sylvanas confrontation? Of course. And then we have the velves which shouldn’t exist but we have them now. An elite group of maximal 10-20 characters and they’re playable.

Everything goes in WoW.

The problem between the MG and Vulpera is completely different here.

The difference here is that HMT/NB are two races we’re familiar and quest in these zones for a longer time. You could argue that this goes for the LFD as well but the Velves are just a shoe-horned race nobody asked for. Logical step would have been to give the Alliance anything else but them.

People can be easily manipulated into hypes. Just imagine how much 200% will do for the Alliance-side until the bonus falls off within a week or even days? Obviously this would be a one-time deal but it will give the Alliance the needed push. Realistically speaking the bonus will be likely between 50-60% if it wouldn’t be capped at 30%. It’s all about getting the ball rolling, the 200% will never be a real thing unless I want to push them in a harmless direction without changing the WM or the racials.

So you find the racial mounts, jewellery options, heritage armour, capitol city, starting area (and homelands) and access to the racial flight master’s mount “totally irrelevant”? Riiiiiiiiiight. And you think your opinion here is representative for the blood elf community?
