New customization options for blood elves and void elves

Oh boohoo. It’s easy to say when your side is given everything and ours…hardly anything.

Call it petty if you want but I want some unique stuff beyond hairstyles that differentiates us from the void crap on the blue side.

im glad void elves are getting options as they lacked them compared to normal races And should get more
But still if id have to choose id prefer otehr allied races(espcially NB and lightforged) to get some options before void elves again.

Like maybe a proper NB looking NB model for them
Void elves where one of most compelte Allied races, while NB are prolly most lacking and not like how they looked ingame in surumar/NH so if 9.1 onwards is for allied races they should get priority imo.

And id like if void elves get all belf hairstyles belfs get some of theirs aswel (but replace void glow with arcane/light)
But i aslo would prefer evry race to have (almost)evry hairstyle and evry hair colour aviable as dye’s excist and changing a hairstyle isnt that diffuclt for a barber.

And no more nelf dh’s being only ones with actual black hair or gnomes/nelf dk’s are only ones with any kind of pink.
If not at creation should be at barber such extra options imo.

Edit: Could also make new colours/hairstyles unlockable from quests/proffesions.
Like maybe need to find some rare flowers and have a alchemist make them into dye to unlock option at barber for evry race

I’ve been a part of the pro high elf movement for quite some time now. We’ve been labelled as whiners, as entitled, as spoiled brats, as greedy, rude and you name it. Thank you for your efforts to turn the table entirely.

I still have 4 years of that to catch up to y’all.

Please share what you mean by everything?

Playable elven paladins are not unique to the Horde?

Have you seen the threads about Void Elf paladins. It’s apparently the new thing people are going for these days.

I’m still waiting to hear how the Horde doesn’t have anything

And that means it’s coming in Shadowlands? If opening a thread about something placed it in the game, we’d be swimming in Demon Hunters of every race by now. As well as Draenei Rogues, Blood Elf Druids and Shamans and Goblins Monks.
And you’ll see that the majority are opposed to Void Elf Paladins anyway because it doesn’t fit the Void Elf lore.

Most of the ones that are positive to the idea say they would need completely new spell effects for it to make sense.
So it’s extremely unlikely it will be a thing.

All our skin tones and possibly hair colors together with the complete unaltered model with an additional flair of void corruption. Let’s not also forget that the OG Void Elves were Blood Elves so there are story implications here as well.

I get that hair styles probably won’t be shared but hey, who knows now that we see that they shamelessly copied the Void Elven beards and gave it to Blood Elves.

It truly does go both ways here to some extent.

It seems the direction they’re going in the story is a “unification” of sorts… High Elves will go either to the Void Elves or home to Quel’Thalas.

It never made sense that only Void Elves got those facial hairs anyway.
Blood Elf players had been asking for more facial since the Blood Elves were introduced in TBC.

Then they should have given them new ones instead of just lazily copying what the Void Elves have.

And I’m not so sure I’m a big fan of reunification after what happened in Dalaran in MoP. :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t see what the point would have been for that…
“Different just for the sake of different.”

Well, it’s Lor’themar’s goal… To unify his people in order to strengthen them.

Ah, you’re talking about belf customisation and not about the Horde in general, that gives more lenience to your point.

But in that same breathe, did they not confirm that belves would also be getting some new additional styles in SL?

If you are getting new things for your race alone, where is the harm in letting (Literally the same race) use the styles which they would have had previously?

So instead of being happy that belves get beards, you’re complaining because velves had them first?

Just so I get this right. You’re unhappy that someone else is getting something that makes them happy.
Then you’re equally unhappy that you’re getting something which would make belves happy, because the velves had it first.

Do I read that right?

You mean the response to the Horde’s crime? Bombing Theramore. You do know, that there lived a lot of high elves, do you?

It’s not like Jaina attacked the blood elves back then out of the blue.

Ehm no. I’m happy that Void Elves got beards?

I just wanted something more high effort than a copy paste for our elves too.

That sounds more like a complaint. People who are happy generally don’t complain about the thing they are happy about.

I don’t know if it’s you or me who’s misreading what I said here but the issue was that they literally just copied what the Void Elves already had not that the Void Elves had beards to begin with.

I don’t see the problem?

Culturally (and to a lesser extent physically) speaking they are literally the same people, so why wouldn’t they be able to grow the same kind of facial hair?

That was my exact point, why would they have different beards or hairstyles? They were the same race.

That was poor writing on my part, I meant the first part as a reply to you and the second to be generic, so I apologize.

I have no problem with void elves getting more options, but I do have a problem with them getting every option that is distinctive to blood elves. Maybe you wouldn’t mind if every distinctive feature of void elves was copied wholesale to blood elves but racial identity means something to me.

If you give everything that is distinctive and unique from one race you make not unique. Have other options, but not our options.
