New customization options for blood elves and void elves

Because…cultural differences?

TBF draenei rogues make sense since its shadow magic stealth.
The broken like akama are rogues, rangari from wod has rogues, the sub rogue artifact came for a eredar rogue.

And belf druids where old cannon from rpg book (orgin of the quelthelas runestones) and is botanists like boss from NH and the magisters terrace is 1 aswell, and is a one in botanica that transformed himself into treant.

So is atleast some presedence/justfication for belf/NB druids, and draenei rogues make compelte sense(aslo lightforged should get monks since had on argus regular have them, pandas teach anyone and part of bcomiing lightforged requires no weapons to fight aswell if i renember from tpaartos.

With the coming high elven options, some of us would really love to get the full high elf fantasy. Paladins aren’t vital to that fantasy, but still fit in nicely. We see a few high elf paladins in lore and the game, such as a trainer, and one under Uther before the Scourge. They’re not vast in numbers though, but with the close ties high elves have to the Alliance, paladins aren’t that far fetched.

My wish is that in order for void/high elves to play as paladins, their options are restricted to exclude the old, void tainted skin tones and void effects in the hair. These would then be high elf paladins, and not actually void elves.

Blood elf druids hold some merit, and I’d love to see them added!

I truly hope we’ll see high elves that aren’t actually void elves at all.

To be fair, copypasting makes a lot more sense, seeing as high and blood elves are genetically the same race, and that the first void elves are void altered blood elves.

I’d love to see more variation between Alliance and Horde Thalassian elves, based on the cultures of their factions. Blood elves adopting Horde styles (maybe even Nightborne jewellery) and high/void elves taking on fashion styles from their Alliance friends.

See above suggestion. Because I do agree with you.

Yes.

You cling to fantasy of high elves while searching fox excuses to roll paladin… Thats precious.

There is no cultural difference though. Velves are just Belves who looked too deep into the void.

If this was Helves, then I would agree as there is also a massive political divide there. But this isn’t. Velves are Belves, racially and culturally.

I believe it was said that those who followed Velen are “Too noble, similar to the Tauren, thus are not rogues.”
I call BS on it, but meh.

I mean it’s clear that we view this issue through fundamentally different lenses. I wish to keep the factions as separate as possible in every conceivable way and you would like to see the opposite.

And that’s fine. We can disagree on that but to suggest that I’m some kind of entitled baby when all I want is to uphold what makes us different is kinda low.

This is true. At this point, I honestly don’t even understand why the factions are still a thing. The war is over.

There is a massive cultural difference post voidification and that is the Light/Void dichotomy which is absolutely essential going forward in their narrative and why Void Elven paladins are an absolute non starter.

I’ve been making suggestions as for faction derived hair/beard/jewellery/etc. styles to be able to make more factionally unique elves. This is more than pandaren get, though, but honestly, they’re not a race I play or focus on.

To be fair, ever since Pandas were introduced, the argument “we must look different” is out of the window. :man_shrugging:

Just look at humans in rl. They can look “the same” and at the same time they still can be enemies if you want to cling to this whole faction war debacle.

I’ve currently run out of likes to hand out, so I’ll just give my support in a quote insted, because what you’re saying is just the truth!

Just look at basically every war in Eastern Europe, they all looked the same and still they killed each other.

It’s all right, no biggie.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself on this, and all I want is one black (real black, not the almost black we currently have) and one white… Real white, like the Night Elf white.

While I understand those who want the blonde, brown or red hair colors, and it is supported in lore, as Alleria remains blonde even though she’s a Void Elf.
I personally don’t need them because I wouldn’t use them.
Just gimme my black and white hair Blizz!

I’d be completely fine with not getting the Blood Elf hairstyles, that could simply be explained with Void Elves wanting to differentiate themselves from their former kin.
I understand those who want Blood Elf hairstyles for Void Elves and those who want Void Elf hairstyles for Blood Elves though. More options are always good.
But to me personally, it doesn’t matter much either way.

Fair enough I suppose, but seems Blizz has decided that as long as something has hooves, they can’t sneak because clop-clop :racehorse:?

The old RPG books are declared non-canon though.

I personally wouldn’t mind playable High Elves.
But I like the Void Elves though, so I’d still play a Void Elf even if they were added.

well some things in there are cannon otehrs are not and for other things (wheight adn height) its still only source we have.
and with blizz continuety you never know.

There’s a blood elf botanist in TBC who’s clearly more or less a druid.

Both! Azrathel will remain as voidy as he can possibly get. I love void elves. And I love high elves. I want both, and will play as both, given the chance. That’s why I’m continuing to argue in favour of high elf options that are as high elven as they can possibly get, alongside voidy void void elves.

Not to dereail this thread into a blood elf druid threat, but I always imagined blood elves to return to druidism, not recovering the lore that was declared non-canon, but as a way to recover the Ghostlands and mend their relationship with the trents. A way to move forward.

It makes sense to me because the plaguelands were healed by druidic powers. It makes sense for blood elves to look at that and learn lessons from it. After all is just south of their border, I’m sure they noticed it. I know it’s head canon, but I would really love to see it happen … or at least to see them reclaim their lands again

Serious question, Kindergarten Teacher… Did you follow your own enlightened advice when Blizzard revealed Blood Elves as a Horde race? Or did you join the Helf crowd.

Yeah, but everything in there is considered “non-canon” unless otherwise told by Blizz or supported by other outside sources that are canon.

But you’re right, Blizz can rewrite things whenever they want. It’s their game after all.

He might have similar powers, but I think he’s a “druid” in the same way Taurens are “paladins”.
It’s a similar thing but not exactly.

I wish you luck then

It’s a possibility if Blizz is open to it.
Maybe if the Shadowlands has a long timeskip as some people think, then it could happen then?

I played a blood elf for a couple of years, trying to make the best of it. In the end, I didn’t feel at home in the Horde, and mained a night elf instead.
