The goalposts never moved an inch (not before these changes were announced, when they moved a fair bit). We haven’t got playable high elves, but we’re getting very close now. With full options, the debate will end.
Except you have. The art director confirmed as much in one of those interviews they did a week or two back. That they don’t 100 % fit into your idea of what a High Elf should look like isn’t their problem and not something that needs to be fixed.

I never asked nor ever wanted blood elf features. The skin and hair colors aren’t too much since high elves have them.

“Full options” is the problem. That would require every Hairstyle, every Hair color, And a Racial change to be added to the Void Elves. Do you not understand how that is problematic?
Might as well ask for a separate Allied race High elves at this point

We are not getting any high elf features. We are getting a comprise becuase blood elves are getting the high elf features.
Thats because Blood Elves ARE High elves they just renamed themselves to honour their dead kin.
Physically they are still High Elves changing the name of your race does not change who you are.

Hairstyles aren’t tid to what high elves genetically are. Styles can be swapped out.
We did. For quite a bit. This is the compromise.
To be fair, blue eyes are also blood elf features. Blue eyes don’t make a high elf. Faction and choices make high elves. It’s fairly well described in lore.
Void corrupted elves their genes have been permanently altered and it was quite violent aswell.

But you do realize Void energy doesn’t change your appearance, we see that with Alleria. The reason why the current void elves look like this is because they were almost transformed into void beings but that ritual was stopped halfway by Alleria hence their purple appearance. Any new Void Elf will become a void elf like how Alleria did. By training not blindly seeking to use the void.
It’s because Blood elves and High elves are identical. Unless Blizzard changes the Hairstyles of the High elf NPC’s, they will remain Identical.
Belfs and Helfs share the same skin tones, same exact hairstyles, same exact hair colors. They got no New high elf feature other than a blue eye color

Well Alleria has 100;s of years of training of harnassing and manipulating the Void with Help from Locus Walker, The Void Elves were violently mutated and were being turned into abominations.
There’s a difference in careful manipulation and forceful altering.
Yes but keep in mind Alleria was alone and only had one teacher: Locus Walker. New void elves not only have Locus Walker as well but also Alleria and Umbric, and also the first generation of the void elves. That’s plus points to them. And don’t forget Alleria fought the Burning Legion constantly and had to cut her studies short to save Turalyon. She didn’t had time to only focus on her studies

Again you’re making excuses to justify the madness, There is a CLEAR difference between “Careful” manipulation and being “Forcibly” mutated to become Void abominations.

Also be careful when interacting with that one fanatic I stuck on ignore, I used to be OH so pro High elf just like you until they I realized how toxic their movement was, I was banned from the Discord because in their eyes I was “too” negative even though I was being a realist, these people were thinking it would be hilarious if people were fired from their jobs and lost their homes amonst other extremities the whole thing was disgusting.
I’m still in touch with a few other ex wow players who were into High elves that were also removed from their community because they only expressed that they would be happy with certain things, Those High elf fans are fanatics with a cult like attitude…
But the new void elves won’t be mutated by the void. That’s what I was trying to say. They will learn and master the void the same way Alleria did

Just because you learn about drugs and how they work doesnt necessarily mean you want to go out back and shoot up afterwards does it?
See what I’m getting at, Think of the Void as a drug that will destroy your life potentially mutilate or kill you, It would be fascinating to learn about but practising such things comes at a morality cost.
Also think of Alleria as an addict, shes got PTSD from fighting these wars for hundreds of years, shes found a drug that will satiate the nightmares, do you really want to follow that mentality?
