New customization options for blood elves and void elves

Braids make no sense for a Void/High elf race. It would only work for a Warcraft 2 Farstrider look, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense. We are not Taurens

You meant “We are not COW people”

^^ well that is good

They will make sense bec of the Warcraft 2 and Alleria has a braid.

At this point I’m just going to exit the thread because no one is giving any “logical” suggestions.

Replacing the tentacles with braids will only look good on hunters :expressionless: is every void elf/High a hunter? No.

And I think everyone is forgetting that fact that we are NOT high elves. We are VOID elves who will look Slightly more natural. That’s it…

Void elf jokes: “Who does my hair? Oh you might have heard of my stylist it’s called THE VOID”

Agreed 100% !! Good food and Great company.

It’s not so much that the braids aren’t really an elven thing (I mean i’d hardly call them the definitive elven style…) it’s more that it’s a poor way to distinguish helf from belf hairstyles. There is no plausible reason why helf would decide to braid their hair and belf wouldn’t, so locking the choice behind one of them but not the other is just a really dumb way of making them different.

Make them different for plausible reasons that actually exist. Aka human-inspired haircuts and whatnot. But if braids are an “elven thing” it’d actually make more sense for belf to have them than helf, because belf’s culture is undiluted (we don’t see them taking any influence from horde races, and if we supposed they do, lots of horde races wear braids), whereas high elves have been mingling with humans who don’t generally braid their hair or wear it exceptionally long in the first place. Hence why it would be a really dumb way to make them different in my opinion.

The High Elves had a good relationship with the Wildhammers so it’s not really as dumb as you think.

It is if you’re using it as a way to distinguish them from belf.

“Helf have braids because they’re good pals with a sub-clan of dwarves that braid their hair.”

“Belf don’t braid their hair but they’ve been chums with orcs, tauren and trolls whom all braid their hair and once upon a time they were chums with wildhammer dwarves.”

Because?

I ment that they have been playble since tbc on horde

And they are still good allies. And I don’t think the Blood elves would even do that bec of the way they live as nobles.

So? High elves have been in the alliance since the second war.

For a while until garithos came

There are still high elves in the alliance look around stormwind.

I Think she’s talking about the High elf’s in the alliance after they have been exiled by the Blood elves.

The High elves located in the Hinterlands, Northernd, Dalaran, Stormwind, etc

You’re drawing an arbitary line in the sand simply because.

“We’re far too noble to be influenced by these races whom we’ve spilled blood with and have fought side by side with because we’re just too cultural you know?”

Meanwhile, in high elf land:

“Ah yes let us copy the styles of these small bearded wildmen who run about with barely any clothes on and sleep with their gryphons.”

Bogus line of reasoning: “they’re allies”, what, I guess the blood elves are just “acquaintences” with the orcs then huh? I think you massively understate how invested in the horde the blood elves actually are because it suits your argument. They’re every bit as committed to and have bonded with (if not more so) to their horde allies as a people than the high elves are with the wildhammers (remember folks; only some high elves hang around in wildhammer lands, that isn’t all of them. Whereas pretty much all belf are members of the horde)

But yes, the idea of belf being influenced by orcs/tauren is bogus because “noble” but helf are only too quick to copycat forest-dwelling wildmen who love to scrap and drink- presumbely because they have tons in common with each other. /s

While the hell would the blood elves want to take braided hairstyles from the people who raided their homeland and killed many off their kin? We are just asking for things to make them different then blood elves and it’s never good enough… And they can easily make the Void elf hairstyles with braids for the high elves.

I don’t hate it, but the male hairstyles are dominated by an overall greasiness and widow’s peaks, not to mention the tendrils, neither of which fit any high elven fantasy. It’s better for the female hairstyles.

My point is it’s perfectly reasonable to ask for things that make them different, i never debated that. Give them human-esque haircuts, I actually said it above. I said making one of them braided hairstyles is stupid, because there is no reason why helf would braid their hair and belf wouldn’t.

And stop with the “omg killed our people”:

  1. Most of the orcs who took part in the second war were retired veterans by the time the belf joined the horde and the orcish philosophy was miles apart
  2. Jungle trolls have had no interaction with belf prior
  3. Forsaken: see above
  4. Tauren: see above

I’m sorry but people are just going to have to “get over” the idea that belf still hold resentment for the second war, it’s just absolute headcanon. If that was true, why the hell would they join the horde? “We begrudge you enough to not get influenced by you, but yes we’ll politically align our kingdom with yours np and send our people to fight your causes.” what kind of logic is that?

As said, i’ll 100% behind making them different, just make the differences make sense, don’t just whip up random stuff that has aboslutely no basis as a dividing line between helf and belf (ie braids, feather, warpaint) because all that does is piss belf players off because there’s no reason why they should not get it too.

See any belf contending that helf could have human hairstyles they themselves don’t get? I don’t see a single argument from a belf player against that as a way to make them different.

How dare you! My hair is flawless. They don’t call me Prince Emo Charming for nothing

Blood elves are more noble and high elves are more peasants now. So I think we could make them diffrent enough and Braided hair would look good on high elves and gives us that ranger feel, Because most high elves are rangers.
