New customization options for blood elves and void elves

Of course they send people out, though. They’re the political leaders of their faction. It’s part of their job to organise such things.

You might be forgetting the Isle of Thunder where Lor’themar led the Sunreaver Onslaught himself, and faced Jaina Proudmoore head-on to defend his people despite her being a mage, and he was the first to lay down weapons to break the cycle and protect the blood elves from the Alliance. Plus he led some of the siege of Orgrimmar. More recently, he was personally fighting to defend Undercity. He was there alongside Thalyssra leading Horde troops in a fight against Azshara and the Naga, as in he was literally there in the raid fight. In Shadows Rising, he heads out with Thalassian vessels to defend Zandalar by sea. It can’t be said that Lor’themar does not take an active role in military efforts.

Not to mention that he has spent near enough his entire life defending Quel’thalas as a Farstrider and was the highest ranking person left (aside from Kael’thas) after the scourge invasion.

He thrives being in those situations. He’s a Farstrider and misses his old role.

But the fact that he doesn’t like the mantle of leadership, but carries on with it anyway, shows how much love he has for his people. He was the one willing to give Alleria a fair chance.

I’ve got a blood elf that just doesn’t feel at home in the Horde. Not for my play style, and not for my stories. So, I’ve more or less parked him, in hopes of being able to one day send him over to the Alliance, forsaking his blood elf name, and becoming a high elf. And I’m not alone.

I’m going to use paid services to faction change and boost at least one character. I’ll faction change Vanerion, most likely into a human, because he has the proper reputation to get me the Quel’dorei steed mount if he becomes Alliance. And I’ll boost a hunter to take over Vanerion’s character and story. If, and only if, I’ll be able to look at least somewhat like the same character. Hair colour is a big part of that, and even though I might wear a hood for a bit, it’ll be too restricting in the long run. I don’t need it to be identical, but it has to be at least similar. The same with hair style. I won’t move, nor boost a character if I’m forced to still use the old void elf male hair styles. Because they just don’t work with a high elf fantasy.

Thing is, though, that while I can just wait and see, and make the changes if and when I see the required options implemented, I’d really love for this character to have at least parts of the Alliance Warfront armour, which will become much harder to obtain after BfA has ended. So, I’m in a bit of a conundrum. Do I boost a character and gather the needed gear now, perhaps wasting a boost on a character that will never become what I want, or do I wait, risking getting the character I want, but not being able to get him the gear I want because it’s no longer possible to get groups to grind it?

Suggestions?

Well I’ve got a Blood Elf Warlock, Hunter, Paladin and Priestess who are part of Silvermoon and does fight for the Horde and feels right about being in the Horde.
You need to let this 15 year old argument go. Blood Elves are Horde. They are staying Horde. If you don’t like it. Make a Human.

He wasn’t saying anything bad. He was just saying how his characters story was, no need to jump and be against how someone chooses their character to play out

But his character isn’t our concern and shouldn’t be a deciding factor that the blood elf race goes alliance.
You want to be pale and be alliance, either make a human or a new void elf.

Leave blood elves alone if you don’t like being Horde.

Vanerion will probably become a human. But I’m not talking about humans. I don’t really enjoy playing as humans. It’s just not my thing. I’m a human in real life. This was about the possibility of playing as a high elf, and if you’re just going to post a troll answer like that - you know very well that not one word of what you said answered anything I asked about, I’d prefer you just didn’t say anything at all.

Isn’t your VE max level? Could you grind it out on that character so it’s saved to your transmog ready just in case you can have your HE looking the way you want? Sorry if I’m missing something. Insomnia does wonders for reading comprehension.

But he wasn’t saying anything against the blood elves :woman_facepalming:t3:

My 120 void elves are a warrior and a rogue, and the new character will be a hunter. I don’t have any max or even high level mail wearing characters at the moment.

Don’t care about what YOU prefer to play.
The point is, what YOU want isn’t the blood elf fanbase’s problem.

We’ve been Horde for 15 years. Get over it. If you can’t, your problem. Not mine.

Oh my god, can you please stop! First he wasn’t saying the blood elves should go Alliance.
Second it’s his character: I have a Highborne trio but aren’t really loyal to the Alliance or Night Elves as a whole, but they work together because they are the same race

The subtle insinuations about belfs being alliance is enough for me. I don’t like it and it’s vile. It produces a false view that the blood elf fanbase wants to be alliance, when really - it’s a bunch of forum-dwelling loud mouths who hate the idea that they can’t play a LOTR faction.

AH. Derp, gotcha. Well, personally I would hold off on the boost, I reckon there would be other Alliance players trying to get the Warfront armour if it’s announced that VE get the hair colours down the line. But whatever feels right to you. The Nighthold mail sets would also look amazing. I’m a bit miffed that the really BE looking one needs PVP in order to get it. :joy:

I never said it was. What I play won’t affect them. If we get the proper high elf options, and those you call “the blood elf fanbase” (fact: the blood elf fan base isn’t a unified anti high elf front, and many blood elf fans are rooting for proper high elf options for Alliance elves) don’t like it, they can simply not play Alliance high elves. There. Problem solved.

You could get the Heroic Eagletalon Set, if your desperate. It’s dark reddish/light brown in colour, with some green pockets, which really brings out a very TBC Blood Elf Ranger.

I’ll look into that! Thanks!

Well then just ignore what they say and have a nice day, no need to jump and attack someone just because of their way of how they play their characters

I personally use this on my Belf hunter, but I don’t use the helmet.

:eyes: Oh that looks cool, I wouldn’t use the helm either but the rest of it is nice. It’ll do until I get over PVP anxiety, hahaha.
