New expansions hype thread

Finally. FINALLY! They are giving us outdoor worlders a pillar. We are finally listened to and respected. I am so happy, I am so excited and it will be a hard wait.

I feel like a lot of outdoor world players have a lot more alts too, so this combined with the warbands account wide stuff is just an all around massive win.

Solo world content players getting their own end game pillar is a godsend.

Looks like theyre really going to revive the game for so many of us

Considering they make up a very large portion of the player base, it’s about time

Solo dungeon-type instances with end-game items

Commitment to dragon racing.

Three expack story arc.

Shorter gap between x.2 and the next x.0? Or shorter seasons maybe?

Not sure about the transmog changes, I think it’s a positive on the whole (mail and leather tmogs have often been weak and mages should totally be allowed plate style tmog) though I do think it erodes class difference in a bad way.

Nice to get a new allied race.

Shared items / bank accross alts is very interesting. I’m gonna need a bigger bank lol.

I’m feeling much more hyped than I was when DF was announced.

Heroic edition for me please!

I wouldn’t say I’m hyped, but I am excited to finally see the “Sword that must not be named” finally be addressed.

Not too excited about the allied race… Its just another dwarf race.

Xal’atath though. Now that’s someone I’ve been waiting to return and finally Alleria is doing somthing.

I thought the changes were for learning and not wearing.
Like youd still be restricted by your own armor type, but if you got an item of a different armor type it will be added to your collection for characters that use that armor type.

The mogs are still locked to each type. But you can now farm all types of mogs without having to farm them on a char that wears that particular type.

Gigahype, I still can’t wrap my head around how good this looks.
I can’t find something to complain about, and I’m trying pretty hard.

Where is tah at? She should be all over this news!
Its the solo players time to rise!

Actually, no. This change allows every class to use every transmog despite their armor type. For example mages can transmog their cloth armor into plate looks, etc.

Probably will complain about not being open world but instanced.

Im 99% sure thats wrong

Dunno. It is what wowhead says.

Additionally, a new change to transmog collection will let players learn the appearance of any gear type, even if they cannot equip it!

Yeah, I guess I read too much into it. Bet it’ll happen eventually though.

I absolutely love everything they announced except cata classic, but I’m not the audience for that

Pretty sure it’s only for collecting, for example as a mage you will be able to unlock plate appearances for your warrior but not use them on the mage. It’s worded a bit vague so it could swing both ways, but they didn’t specifically say plate wearing casters and were only talking about unlocks.

there about a gazillion ways they can still screw up so i reserve my right to say i told you so in advance

I read it as even if your class cannot use that transmog, it will be added to your collection for characters that can use it.

So youre unlocking it on class x, but class x cant mog to it. Class y can

Ok, it seems there are different interpretations for that. We need to wait longer and see who’s correct. But I hope for letting all class do all transmogs.
…Especially because it will give us Dracthyrs slightly more options to mog XD
