So recently our almighty server who loves dispelling the other faction came up with a new way to harras one another. How ? They sap the npc that is about to give you the onyxia buff if this happens the buff goes on cooldown but nobody actually gets it. What i’m wondering is if this is intended and if there was anything like this back in the day.
Just have some guys spamming AE or something around the Buffgiver and problem solved.
It can still be done even when spamming aoe
hey good tip. delete the thread. guess why they do that now? cause someone made a thread mentioning it like last week and now it got brought attention for those who didnt know 
I’m sure you posting this on the forum won’t give any one else the same idea. I’m also sure those already doing it will stop.
If your hope was to stop this from happening it failed as you’ve given the idea to thousands of players who possibly didnt even know this was a thing.
Question:
How dead is your server that the Onyxia buffers can be sapped without the rogue getting absolutely nuked before even getting close to them?
Having played Horde on ZT i have no pity whatsoever, the alliance there are full of non RP folk who came for the percieved easy pvp kills against weebs.
Also, you rolled on an RP realm and called yourself gnome, thats like going to a fancy dress party in your jeans and t-shirt.

But how does one get even close to a buffing npc is beyond me. Must have been something like Monday 11:27 Ony head. I dare them try on Wednesday 19:00 Ony or 19:30 Nef.

This is not intended. Isn’t that obvious? They don’t kill him, they just use a sap. It looks like an EXPLOIT.
That conduct (disrupting WB with a sap) should be punished with a permaban. A thing is griefing a single player or a guild (purging, dispelling, ganking etc.), another is to use flaws in the Blizzard system (exploit) in order to grief an entire faction.

I’ll consider agreeing with you the day colluding with opposite faction characters to reset the cooldown is no longer allowed, and punished with “permabans”.

A word of mouth you know. 100 people reading it on the forums, they all tell it to 5 people, who then tell it to 5 people… and then everyone knows.

already too late its been spread first on US forums and now got taken over to EU too. all you can hope for is blizz fixing it by now
If they are gonna “fix” it by making the NPC immune, i highly hope they make it immune to mind control too.
And killing the NPC musn’t reset the world buff cooldown too.
This will be a complete fix.
While this is extremely annoying I’m kind of hoping Blizzard doesn’t touch the buff NPCs unless they would remove the CD. If they made them immune to sap they’d probably make them immune to MC as well and that would prevent resets.
