New fresh server for old player(Should Read This )

Hey everyone,

Just a little while ago, I logged in with so much excitement and energy. The stress of getting disconnected or realms filling up suddenly was real, but I finally managed to get into the game. I was truly enjoying the hustle and bustle of the server, the sheer number of players running around—it was such a unique vibe.

Even completing quests was a challenge, fighting off others to secure objectives. I managed to grind my way to level 6, feeling like I was making some solid progress.

However, there’s one thing that hit me hard. Even though this is a fresh server designed for new players, it’s impossible to trade items via mail or purchase anything from the Auction House.

How are new players like me supposed to keep up with others or fully enjoy the game in this environment? Without these essential features, the sense of progression and competition feels severely limited.

After realizing this, I felt so disheartened. I closed the game with a heavy heart, wondering if I should just wait another 20 years to try again.

Does anyone else feel the same? How are you guys dealing with this?

To further combat botting on popular feedback, Blizzard implemented that every account since some years ago must’ve had atleast 26 days paid gametime on it.

Edit: If you were an active subscriber at the time and had 26 paid days gametime, this restriction doesn’t affect you. If you were on a long break before that, this does unfortunately affect you.

By playing the game for 26 full days you will no longer be restricted.

Im guessing you on hardcore and used self found mode ?

If so thats why you cannot trade anything.

Its literally the game in ridiculously hard mode and if u die time to move or delete.

Or it could be that you needed extra game time on acc to show ur for real as in not a bot or a goldseller lol.

Yh thats whst also slowed down the gold sellers they literally made accounts to kill their charas off in citys spelling the name of their websites lol.

I wish id kept screen shots to show u guys, theyd hack to put their toon high up and let it fall into place.

There were moments it was literally raining player chars at lvl 1.

They can do this no matter how much you restrict their trading, use of AH and mail. It was irritating, but not as much so and the incessant spamming from goldsellers that we have now.
And please tell me how restricting Mages’ ability to hand out conjured food and water in any way hampers botting.

Depends on version rly bc mages inlater versions make tables, also there could be certain things allowed such as having the ability to trade conjured items.

They vanish after logoff of 30 mins or more so you could argue nothing was traded.

In answer to gold seller spam you can just turn the channel off so theres that option.

I dont have all the answers on this but what i can say is that its easy to ignore goldspammers on trade but when the streets of sw and ogrimmar are littered with corpses theres quite a difference in how invasive it is.

Yea I see this too, generally it disappears after 24h wasn’t it  they used to do this alllllll the way back in Vanilla too it was kind of funny when you see two competing goldsellers try to do it on the main square :joy:

Yh it got stupid messy lol hslf the time you couldn’t even read the message. But they did try lol
