New Lordaeron - what would players like to see?

With the Forsaken having to adapt to the loss of their old city, leader, and rebuild post war how will this affect Lordaeron ?

Are cages and meat wagons being sent as scrap to goblins ? :broom: :meat_on_bone:

Will plague bio weapon manufacture move towards cleaning and disease control ? :xray:

I am looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.

Are there any changes, big or small players would like to see in an updated Lordaeron ?

(Maybe there is still time for requests to be considered and incorporated in the new design) :woman_shrugging:

Ahm yeah, less horde in it and more alliance.

Other than that I want them to use the Upper city as the main place and just forget that the sewer part ever existed.

Yes, the calling quest deleted…
Takes way too long for no reward lmao.

I would like a new zone caleed New Lordaeron spanning Silverpine, Tirisfal and both Plaguelands.
Lordaeron City for the Horde.
New Hearthglen for the Alliance.
De-scourged Stratholme as a new Scarlet Crusade settlement.

Hopefully things will just carry on as normal.

I’d definitely like to see the above ground parts used in full.

I don’t care for the whole kingdom of Lordaeron but if we’re only talking about the castle, I’d like the ruins outside to stay occupied when Undercity reopens. The Forsaken do not need to hide, they are the rightful owners of this castle and the surrounding land and since they’re still part of the Horde, no Allys allowed in would make sense. Calia and Derek are enough.

If the undead are less fixated on killing the living and moving in the direction of rebuilding and regeneration, perhaps the new necropolis ? of Lordaeron might become a cultural centre ?

With less time spent on basic functions and constant war, there might be a need to occupy undead with a lot of spare time.

There could be progress in craft skills, art, learning and even music.

I can visualise a lighter ground level area with lively outdoor markets and gardens for commerce and socialising. A new library and gallery for learning and history.

The darker lower area might be used for private meetings, laboratories for study (not torture), courts and military training.

I want to see some decent changes that reflect the move away from Sylvannas’s era and undead independance.

If the living leave them be they’ll be able to rebuild. They already started doing it.

The constant conflicts the Forsaken were involved in were not solely Sylvanas’ doing, thought it was clear enough. Their survival has always been a subject they worked on, now they’ll have more time to do it when they’re not too busy fighting off the Scarlet Crusaders (which they are still doing now at the end of Shadowlands).

They already had that. Sylvanas herself could sing (not as well as her brother) and had her own banshee choir, and the two bands playing at the Darkmoon Faire include Forsaken members.

Why not? If Anduin allows Alleria and Turalyon to use torture, why shouldn’t the Forsaken be allowed to keep that right when they do it to serve their interests? Again, this grim part of the Forsaken culture wasn’t put forth by Sylvanas, it’s a Forsaken thing, that’s it.

Which doesn’t mean leaving aside all the things that define them no matter how nasty they may seem to players who main other races. The Forsaken do not have to change their ways to appeal to players who don’t like them.

for sure, this is just throwing around some ideas.

Perhaps Silverpine and Gilneas would make a better combo in a revamped world.

i would love it. Since my first days in late vanilla the north eastern kingdoms was the zone i quested 90% of the time.

A big fat army ready to crush Gilneas after we give it back to them, only so we can rejoice in the pleasure of destroying it all over again

Do you mean the ones in Tirisfal ? If so, haven’t they all died of old age by now ?

I forgot about that, thanks for reminding me. Also appreciate the youtube link  :woman_singer:

I think I have done that quest with a later Sylvannas, it has been a while.

Concerts in Lordaeron might be pretty cool :sunglasses:

The old Lordaeron was fairly grungy, which is unique I guess. In game there seems to be a focus on certain aspects of undead society:

  • NPC mantras - proclaiming death to the living and praising Sylvannas.

  • Open displays of torture implements and cages.

This gives me vibes of a society with a sense of indoctrination of loyalty and fear. (Intimidating for anyone that might question it).

I get that their options are limited, in part due to them potentially being mistaken as Scourge and physical deterioration for some.

I see a sense of gratitude for non rejection to a leader that seems to have ‘saved’ them. The reality of her viewing them as merely useful tools, is a shame.

I am hoping that Forsaken (in game) will become more than just corpses harbouring an eternal grudge against the living, pining for what they lost and cannot regain.

Seeing a partly refreshed, Forsaken society that can discuss and explore new ideas openly and without fear, sounds like growth and I will watch with interest.

No, that’s why I said that the fights were still on going. Scarlet Warriors are present at Stillwater Pond and on the road close to Cold Hearth Manor during the Shadowlands timeline. Their goal hasn’t changed, which is to exterminate all undead indiscriminately whether they’re Forsaken or Scourge.

That would have made sense if said leader had been alive but no, she was just like them. That’s why they rallied behind her. She has been through the same hardships, understood them, and shared the same goals of getting revenge against Arthas and surviving.

That’s based on a quote referring to Sylvanas when she was still alive and thinking of her rangers. She had real affection for the Forsaken and pitied them, as she confirmed it again to her loyalists when she had no reason to (0:25 min)

If you ever liked the Forsaken, why would you want them to change? And if you don’t like them, the question still stands. I don’t recall players wanting or expecting the orcs to change who they were after Garrosh had done what Sylvanas has done to the Horde.

Nah i dont think a city that was visited by max 10 players for last two months, half of them by accident, needs an update. If anything i think that org and sw scream for some refresh.

I want Lordaeron remade as a proper capital city (currently the ruins on top of Undercity).

Imagine having two capital cities on top of each other. Both owned by the Forsaken.

Id love to see the scarlet crusade return somehow tho theyre likely done. Always been one of my fav villain faction

They’re still alive and kicking. If they don’t play a major role during Dragonflight, they very likely will in the next one.
