LoL, WoW and even games like Overwatch have these communities, WoW is nothing special but is one of the oldest communities out there.

After reading this entire thread (I will not lie, it was entertaining), I can confidently say that in your case the problem will be 100% with attitude.
The sheer inability to receive feedback and accept the fact that there are things you do not know, is baffling. This is a red flag, since most officers in guilds have a hard enough job already, and the biggest red flag is a trial with an ego, no self awarness, that cannot take criticism.
You are free to think w/e about the community, but at the end of the day, you need other players to progress at the end game. If you seriously behave irl/in guild like you come off in here, then I do not envy any group that will take you.

Yet he still plays the game according to its design, and honestly it is still good. Not perfect like many elitists wants it to be but it is still good.
at the end of the day you need to find a guild that accepts you for being you. I have seen alot of healers and tanks that refuse to play with pugs simply because pugs overextend their role in the game, Hence the toxicity.
Because players think only the meta classes matter. You can thank the clickbait content creators for that.

Hey, there are currently more elites in WoW than ever before because many people are achieving seasonal elites via various new modes as shuffles and battleground blitz.
This is a 20+ years old game. Over the decades the natural human I am better than you mentality had time to cement the way the elite play and dictate others how to play the game.
