New Player : Picking a Realm

Used to be about equal in early phases, now about 60/40 in favour of alliance.

Well thanks guys, input is much appreciated, is there a way for me to find out which has the better population of active players between Pyrewood and Mirage Raceway? Also the faction balance?
I see Ironforge but it seems to only focus on raiding players.
Cheers

Itā€™s good. When classic launched you could find a group for anything, now there are less people leveling, but if you play a tank you will always find people

Pyrewood is bigger for about 10% but both are huge realms. Iā€™ve checked population of lvl10-50 characters (Alliance side) with /who command a couple days ago and Pyrewood and Mirage were two biggest realms in the list by this criteria. Even bigger than Firemaw, Earthshaker and Gehennas. This is understandable because both are Alliance dominated.

Basically if you are Alliance the only decent PVP you will find is in a BG. If you intend to raid at 60, I would say just go to a PVE realm and PVP in BGs like most people.

I think the only Alliance left on PVP realms are raid loggers, fools who think things will improve, or people who canā€™t afford to transfer.

If you are Horde, just roll on whatever realm you want.

If people upload enough then wowclassicpopulation is more accurate.

Man I want to level a rogue alt and idk what to do.

Create one, level it. Easy.

whaaat about dungeons

You donā€™t have to do dungeons while levelling.

Zandalar Tribe

Thats the mindset of gaming nowerdays.
Better get used to it, sadly :(.

Might be silly question but how do you join LFG channel, my times limited and it annoying standing in a major city everytime I want to do a dungeon. A channel would be great as could quest while I look

You simply type in the chat: /join LookingForGroup

Thought it wasnā€™t active in classic?

The LFG-chat channel is the way to group up in Classic. You either start the group and asks for the roles you need in addition to yourself. As example ā€œLF Healer and 3 DPS Uldamanā€. Then you are getting whispered by interested people who you have to invite manually.

Or you ask for being invited to someone elseā€™s group. Then you state your class/role. As example: ā€œHunter LFG Uldamanā€ or ā€œDPS LFG Uldamanā€.

Do this.

Donā€™t do this. It just spams the channel and serves no useful purpose. If you canā€™t be bothered to make a group, just sit quietly and wait for someone to make one, announce ā€œLFMā€ and then whisper them begging for a spot. When I make a group, I purposely ignore all the warrior dps (sorry I have no tanking gear and Iā€™m deep fury spec) and Retridins (Sorry I have no healing gear, didnā€™t you read Iā€™m dps) spamming the channel with ā€œLFGā€ requests.

Good evening! Hereā€™s the result of a hour of /who-ing. Amount of lvl5-59 chars online at 19:00-20:00 UTC in some EU realms. I hope this will help someone to a choose good realm.

PS: compared to ironforge.pro I can say Mograine has the highest concentration of warcraftlogs users per square meter

I disagree, it is a good thing when not spammed. When I want to do instance x, I first sees if there is any groups in making that needs me.
If no, I make a new group myself. It is at this stage that when I see someone LFG the same instance and that role isnā€™t taken by myself (as tank or healer), I contact them and gives them the first inv. And then do I start announcing in LFG that we needs this and that for there.

Also LookingForMore(LFM)-messages shouldnā€™t be spammed too frequently, so it is naturally that people who just logged in did not see my LFM and goes straight ahead and makes a LFG-message.
