agree i play horde on ed but nothing happening and got given a dead alliance guild on mazrigos lightbringer which I was GM off for years then left and handed it over to someone else as no more than 2 active players for months! Want to boost a new alt on this account and my other halfs but want a guild to do some content in as more casual bit of pvp and some mythic want to learn to heal and do a bit more tanking! But noone wants the noobs at the moment! SAd really
Iâm not really sure what the issue with Chamber of Aspects is. The population is healthy and the ratio between the factions is pretty balanced. Weâre just missing some 12/12M guilds at the moment, but otherwise I donât really see any reason to connect us to anyone. Iâm personally pretty happy with this server.
I still hope for a merge between Pozzo dellâEternitĂ and Nemesis, the only 2 italian servers, I donât know why Pozzo is marked as a new pop server and Nemesis that is less populated is not.
Currently on Pozzo: 10 guilds 12/12 (3 Alliance, 7 Horde)
Currently on Nemesis: 9 guilds 12/12 (0 Alliance, 9 Horde, the closes Alliance has got is 5/12 and itâs really forcing all the alliance players out of the server)
Our guild on Lightbringer is happy to have more ânoobsâ in the ranks ⊠most of us probably fit that description It is quiet a lot more, currently, but that is to be expected ⊠we normally have no more than around a dozen on at peak times, now weâve all but stopped running any events.
On another note ⊠I saw theyâre closing the EU CS office in France. Perhaps thatâs why they canât be bothered replying to anything or doing any, ya know, support, for customers, relating to the Connections.
Still hopeing on news on Doomhammer and Turalyon being connected .
Gotta keep this thread going and hopefully theyâll announce something.
One can only hope it wonât be in a year or two because it would be really outrageous.
Playing on an empty server is no MMO experience at all, no amount of CRZ will fix lack of guilds, trading, economy and most importantly lack of people rather than just CRZ-Ghosts that comes and go.
Stormrage is also in a dire need of connection.
Keep in mind that for non final content of an expansion, most guilds between 1000 and 2000 in World Rank often struggle to clear the content, depending on how difficult it is, obviously.
That being said, even if âNew Playerâ realms arenât as dead as I thought they are, theyâre still quite low in population.
Thatâs the issue, isnât it? I have no way of knowing, whether or not these servers are actually as dead as they seem to be on wowprogress, or if theyâre as alive as they seem on wowprogress.
Yes, we can roughly use CE guilds to estimate the playerbase, but if thereâs an entire community on a realm that isnât involved in raiding, and Blizzard doesnât reveal any numbers, we simply canât say for certain, whether or not a server is in fact having issues with player numbers, unless you yourself are playing on it.
So yeah, I know for a fact, that looking at CE guilds isnât a good, or even decent method of measuring how many players are on a server, but itâs sadly the only one we have.
Thereâs zero reason for CoA not to get a merge with 1-2 low pop servers. Itâs not like we have queues and the AH would benefit from a few hundred more players.
I notice theyâve currently got a sale on for realm transfers ⊠which seems very mean and also a bit underhand. Perhaps they stopped the Connections in the hope more people buy to transferâŠ
If I think about they probably genuinely stopped the connection because they didnât want to risk technical problems due to connections before prepatch and have their team available for any other technical difficulties that might arise.
Sure it doesnât tell us if theyâll continue the connections later on and honestly Blizzard being more open about their plan on the subject would have been great but I honestly think they have to be mad to try any connections at the moment.
possibly, but you canât deny it is a bit suspect. They start out promising that all the realms that were low population would be connected, then they stopped without warning or any information. Then suddenly, first time in a long time, they are pushing people to pay for realm transfers, using a discount as an incentive. What are people to think? There will be a lot of people on low pop realms who have just been waiting for Blizzard to fulfil their promise ⊠now they have to try and work out if they should spend their hard-earned cash transferring away, or whether they should wait. At the very least, Blizzard should be putting out a list of realms theyâre still planning on Connecting, along with a rough timescale, if indeed they are going to adhere to their original promise.
At the very least, if they arenât going to continue connections any time soon, they should tell people that. It just feels a bit rude and dismissive. Like we donât really count or matter.
This is the thing. Itâs the total lack of information. Do we assume theyâll resume later? Do we guess theyâre not doing any more? Do we get frustrated that no-one tells us anything? (hint: the answer to the last one is yes). My realm was one of the last to be connected last time. I donât want to leave it as Iâve been there since it was launched. I just want to know, like so many others, whether theyâre going to finish what they started.
I canât afford to transfer my characters anyway, but Iâm sure many people are wondering what to do. Itâs hard to make a decision without the necessary information.
They have done this basically with every prepatch ever, I wouldnât read too much into it.
This is exactly it. My guild was thinking about transferring off of itâs low pop realm. Then the statement âweâll merge all low pop realmsâ came around, and we postponed it until we knew what server we were getting connected with.
Now our realm didnât get connected and the 30% cheaper realmtransfer comes around.
What do they expect us to do here? Obviously we wanted to get a more lively realm, but what about that promise to merge all the low pop realms?
I donât even need a rough timescale. Just a âyes weâre done merging, screw everybody whoâs still on dead realmsâ or a âno weâll be continuing mergesâ would be enough. But nothing, is, as it is usually, way too little.
Screw the people sitting behind this, honestly.
Thereâs blues reading the forums, thereâs no way this information is accidentally held behind, itâs flat out malicious at this point.
agree. i just wanna know if there still is a chance or not so we can move or not pff
I honestly doubt that any new connections will happen until several months into 2021. You know, if theyâre just paused and not over. What with the pre-patch next week, the expansion launch some time in the future, the teething problems that both will inevitably have, and the holidays, the Server Techs will have enough on their plates. Itâs just common sense.
Iâve honestly lost all hope at this point where it comes to my RP clusterâs future. Weâll see no new players and weâll lose players to the bigger RP hubs, especially with the sale. All I want at this point is for Blizzard to say something about this whole situation.
Anything.
PleaseâŠ
Well, Blizzard is a new player in the gaming industry, giving them very little experience in how to appropriately communicate towards us, their player base. It is also free to play, which gives them limited financial ressources to employ propper development teams or conduct well planned technical projects like this Server Merges.
Attention, this text might contain traces of sarcasm and irony.
It doesnât help that they keep getting rid of more and more staff that actually do communicate with the playerbase.
No doubt weâll see Ion or someone else in a future video saying something like:
âOur communication is lacking we know, we need to work on itâ.
And like last time Iâll just be yelling to my screen:
JUST DO IT! JUST COMMUNICATE!
We all know communicating with the playerbase doesnât actually earn you any money. Satisfied customers or paying customers? Canât have both.
Excuse my cynicism here, but I feel like itâs fitting, if weâre looking at this entire ordeal.
