Hate to say it, but starting to hope we don’t get any more servers merged with us. Get enough server lag in busy places. Mechagon today was unbareable for a while.
I quite like the quiet. It’s why I don’t play on Argent Dawn. As much as I’d love more Roleplayers, I wouldn’t want more goldspammers, boostsellers, trolls, people to compete with for quest mobs and well… lag.

That’s… understandable. But most of that is not a valid argument. As we’re already crossrealmed with those servers we would be merging with. You are already seeing all of their players when you leave Orgrimmar. They are already competing for quest mobs and trolling you.
The only thing a merger will really be changing, is that now these players would be able to join your guild and you can buy their stuff on the AH. Right now we get all the downsides of being merged already, just none of the community and benefits.

Perhaps not valid for you, but we’re not always crossrealmed with them. Our stormwinds and Orgrimmars still have relative peace. Sometimes, on AD, during peak hours, there’s constant lag in Stormwind.
And in low level zones, they don’t seem to Crossrealm, least, not as much in my experience.
They are not however in our chat channels. Right now, people are annoyed because of one guy spamming chat. Well, Argent Dawn trade chat is an instant /leave 2. On Alliance, lookingforgroup tends to have a few handfulls of people who talk and have conversation, I worry about losing that if we were to merge with other servers.
Reasons might not be valid to you, but they are to me. All that matters to me.

Please keep in mind that most (all?) of us here are talking in context of merging with the ER/DMF/RPPVP realms excluding AD!

I’d be fine with that, moreso if that includes disabling crossrealm with AD. Imagine how much less lag we’d all have.

Well, we’ve been left out.
- The Darkmoon Faire and Earthen Ring realms will join the Defias Brotherhood, Ravenholdt, Scarshield Legion, Sporeggar, and The Venture Co realms.

The announcement was just a more official version of what we’ve already seen before we log into a character. I would of thought we’d be soon. As some of us remember, i think the MG,ST,SWC was pretty much last.

Well, hopefully we’ll merge with the rest later on, when they’ve successfully merged and are up and running.

Sometimes it’s best to be last. At least Blizzard should have ironed out all of the merger bugs by that point.

Greetings from Defias et al. While I am happy that we got more life and RPers with the round of connections with ER and DMF, I am very sad to hear that your servers had been left out (for now). I am hoping blizzard will glue you to us soon enough, as I know we would have a fine time together.

Well it seems like they merged my Realm, because it’s gone! Doesn’t even show in the realm list of the login screen anymore.
The Stormwind Market you sometimes advertise over here is delightful and I can only imagine the rest of fun content your ER/DMF/RPRPVP (Have you guys thought of any new portmanteau for that whole new mountful, by the way?) is going to generate, so I really hope we will be given a chance to tap into that creative potential! (And hopefully offer RP initiatives of our own as well.)

Have you checked further down the list? I noticed that one of the realms I have some old characters on that recently got merged, didn’t show the number of characters I have on it after the merge. Once you select it, they should show up like usual.

I have a couple of characters on Earthen Ring and it was “gone” too. But sorting the servers after RP I found ER but it did not list any characters. Logging in to the server fixed it all though.
So just find it further down, as Zycorax suggested, and all should be back to normal

The list in general seems to be pretty messed up nowadays. It insisted that I can’t make a new character because I still have a character on Earthen Ring (which I deleted a few days ago purely to make place for the new one). Hopping in and out of ER seemingly fixed the issue, as the (1) character count disappeared and I was suddenly able to make a new char. (Hey Blizz, loosen the character limit while you’re at it…)
I assume this is related to the realm connections, so… I guess we will have to deal with it for a while.
