New talents don't feel that good

OMG they added/removed talents and spells :scream: :scream: :scream:

oh wait, they do it almost EVERY expansion.

Like they should, to keep things fresh.

so why are you even mentioning it. its not an argument. for anything. its normal.l

Because others are saying you’re losing with the new talent trees.
I’ve showed that you’re gaining a lot more than you’re losing.

It’s a much better talent system than what we have on live.

well, im not going to get into it again…

but ill say what i said before and that is its going to either be a broken rebranding of existing talent system or just a little more tuned version of what we have now.

but regardless, the end result will still be the exact same thing.
you choose your build, and you pick the talents for that build.
since i play serenty ww monk, i will take all the talents that will make me a serenty ww monk.

at the end of the day you look at the tree and you pick the talents you want at the end of it, so on the way you pick certain talents.
that is a build.

Sounds like you have a plan… stick to it then.

And with the new system you can make more build combinations than you can on live.

Certainly not less.

no, you cant, because you cant just jump between places. you must go through a specific path. during that path there are branches, but you will never be able to get a certain talent, if you aim for something else.

as a ww monk, i have 3 “specializations” now, in this specific expansion one of them is the best in a full rotation.

im willing to bet these exact same 3 will exist on the tree and no more.

Are you rp-ing a blind panda?
You have a lot of paths to take.

as it was mentioned before, when you pick 2 things that dont integrate well together (and its going to happen), that is just a false-choice.

just because there are more places to click, it doesnt automatically mean there will be more actual selection.

Can you do it?
Yes?
What did you get out of it?
What you wanted, that’s what.

That’s not a false choice, that’s a choice you made.

You’re still rp-ing?

You know that mathematically there are a hell of a lot more choices to make with the new trees right?

I’ll even prove it to you:
Right now you chose 1 out of 3 for 7 rows, basically 7 points.
In DF you have 61 points to spend and you can do it in a lot more combinations than what you have now.

ok. i will give you an example.

in the old game Heroes Of Might And Magic 2, in the campaign you 10 main missions 2 extra missions.
the first extra missions is optional, if you complete it you get an artifact that make your hero stronger.
but the second extra mission is different. you can choose between 2 missions (must complete only 1 of them). depending on which on you complete, you will get extra Dwarves or Sprites at the beginning on the next mission.

if i remember correctly, because Dwarves survive longer, they are the far better choice. because the Sprites will die almost instantly.

so, you tell me, if im going to lose the Sprites and the Dwarves will help me much more, do i really have a choice ?
if dwarves are the only way to beat the game (they arent), but if they were the only way, would Sprites still be a choice ?

no, sprites will just be a false-choice. a filler. something to make you make a mistake and basically force you to restart the game after you fail a mission that take ages to complete.

if your choices are between +5% intellect or +5% agility, and you are playing resto druid, do you really have a “choice” here ?

You don’t have that choice there, did you even look at the trees?
You have relevant stuff to pick for your specs.

Seriously, do your homework to see what choices you have, then come back.

it was an example of false choices. like we have in the talent tree.

do you really take everything people say literally ?

I didn’t take it literally, i took it as you not knowing what the new trees contain.
You have relevant picks to chose from.

So go over them and then come back.

you still dont get it, do you…

in this game, like in many other mmos, there are builds for every class/spec. in order to get that build you need to pick very specific talents.

do you want the build you are playing now ? you will have to pick the talents that allow your character to be able to play like that. if you dont, you will become a different build.

as i said, its not different, it just took a different form.

Nobody is forcing you to pick anything… it’s your choice.
No matter how the talent trees look like.

If you want meta… you go meta, if you don’t… then don’t and make whatever build you like.

I don’t understand your issue with the new talent trees, they offer more freedom than we have now.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH META

you are a warlock.
you want to be a destro lock. what you do ? you pick x,y,z
but what happens if you pick x,y,t ? you transform to a demo lock.
but you dont want that, you want to be destruction. you want to shoot fireballs. so you reset, and you pick x,y,z IN ORDER TO BECOME WHAT YOU WANT TO BECOME

bigger tree doesnt mean more choices, it means more complexity to the same result.

Wow specs aren’t like that, silly
You playing wow or some moba?

thanks for admitting im right.

I’m admitting that you don’t know what you’re talking about… at all.
