New transmog system IS account wide

So. Does anyone still think anyone who makes these decisions plays WoW?

Somewhere in the WoWhead comments someone wrote those will be saved under “custom sets” (but I doubt it will be able to “read” the extra sets from addons, only 20 from the standard ui, so better screenshot extra sets).

Good catch. As I said, I don’t quite get the new system yet. I hope this work-around would… well… work.

Tone deaf as always. Hopefully they listen to feedback. Either drastically reduce the cost or make it warbound. Preferably both.

lets take action with our wallet stop the subs all together if they do something similar, this is not a free to play game, there is no point doing something like this 40 euro to be enable to use transmog

My sub has already been canceled.
I’m tired of paying for the slop and garbage this company produces.

I am not one to post on the forums, but this is just insane. Tansmog, for the longest time, was a way for every single player to express themselves. I personally have a lot of characters that I enjoy transmogging. I am not a gold grinder, nor do I have pockets of cash to spend on tokens. This has an impact on so many players from the band new players that don’t know how to make gold, to casuals that enjoy transmog of their characters, to the top 1% of players. The decision Blizzard is making, I am not happy with. If Blizzard carries through with this, this is going to be where I walk away from WoW. Even though I enjoy playing WoW and getting excited about cool transmog I get to put on my character, I will not stand for Blizzard turning the way every single player expresses, including myself, into a money pit.

800k sounds like an intended gold sink to drive down inflation. I change my mogs almost on a weekly basis but even with the higher mog prices this 800k would mean another 2 full expansions to pay itself back.

Yup.

At the moment I have 4 lvl 80’s of most classes (apart from dh and evoker)

So let’s say 50 for easy maths

40 million….

:sob: Love it when I have to do my own maintenance before major game changes. It’s not even that long since I had to move my stuff out of all my banks for fear that they would delete something again when they updated that system.

I’m curious tho, what math they did on this - besides the value of 2 wow tokens. As in, I’d like a bluepost lying to me, pardon, explaining to me the reasoning behind the price. Because we went from the initial news of “free transmog” to “800k per character for all outfit slots”.

Did someone go and calculate how much a player character would have paid for transmog since Cata until now and 800k was the result? And they thought taxing us in one go for the next 15 years of transmog was a good idea? Because even if the cost was equivalent somehow, it’s still not the f-ing same to spend 800k on outfits over years and years vs spending it on all outfit slots at once.

So how would we go about to protest about this?

Stop playing? This sort of thing isnt exactly big enough to make me stop at least. Its bullcrap, but it wont make me stop

Complain? Haha, blizz wont listen.

What else?

Goldsinks are good. What are you talking about? If you could just swap whenever without having to spend, gold inflation would get even more ridiculous.

  • Do not buy WoW Tokens
  • Do not interact with said system
  • Bump this thread on a daily basis, and tweet/notify their social media

That’s the only thing you can do if you’re not quitting.

Yes Blizzard Fanboy/employee.
Now move along, the players are talking.

If you saw my history you would see I have only been talking bad about Blizzard but cool argument bro.

While I completely agree these gold prices are stupidly high and unlocking slots should also be a warband thing, I think claiming that you need to spend real money is silly. You CAN just play the game and earn gold.

It doesn’t excuse their braindead decision, and I hope they’ll alter it before it goes live, but making up arguments that aren’t true doesn’t help any of us to try to get them to change their minds.

That really depends on the player and class.
As a Warrior Tank, I barely break even with daily activities to cover repairs and other things I need now and then.
I don’t have that issue for example on my Hunter or Priest, who’s gold pile is very slowly going up every week.

But my tanks?
They’re starving for gold due to repair costs alone.

  • M+12 run with my druid? 400g repair
  • M+12 run with my warrior? just over 1000g repair.

And that’s per dungeon. I also raid, I do professions, I do transmogs for roleplay.

Yeah, I’m sure they’re well aware of that.

Seeing how War Within world quests just throw 800 to 1000g each, maybe they give 8000 to 10000g each in Midnight? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Theslots are 1 time purchases per character.
Are you really gonna need all slots unlocked? Probably not.

Tell me you don’t roleplay without telling me you don’t roleplay
