Firstly, welcome to Argent Dawn! Great choice with the Troll Masta’ race!
I think you have already stumbled upon this pinned thread here:
If not, definitely give it a good read.
There are also many guides here, most of them for orcish clans, but there are some for elves and trolls too, as well as one for almost every class. I suggest you just type what interests you in the search window and see what pops up.
As for means of learning that aren’t the forums, AD has -a lot- of community discords dedicated to RPers interested in one common topic. There’s one for Troll RP
And there are others for every class.
There’s the LFRP discord where you can talk with other RPers and initiate RP with them.
And there’s RP_Announce, a discord solely dedicated to announcing new events and happenings, Horde, Alliance and neutral.

One big thing unique to AD is that we have our very own website where RPers can create profiles for their characters and post images from events, stories and descriptions. The website is called the Argent Archives.
https://www.argentarchives.org/
It also seeks to promote artists and tease events happening on AD, you can even pay gold to have an ‘ad’ for your guild there. Some amazing projects have come from there, most notably the two AD newspapers, The King’s Chronicle (https://www.argentarchives.org/node/222907
) and
The Orgrimmar Oracle (https://www.argentarchives.org/node/222970
).
Yes, there are! A few come to mind. The amazing Acrona Winterflow (https://www.argentarchives.org/acrona
) usually hosts an RP event for the lunar festival each year, and others usually make an event about the other holidays as well.
The most famous event would probably be the Uldum Nights(https://www.argentarchives.org/node/169078
), a several-day event in Mar’at, Uldum, where merchants of all kinds come each year to sell their goods. Last year was pretty big, there were certainly more than 100 people when I was there.
Acrona (as she usually does with big events) had made an awesome video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtBZO6OX_tI
) from it!
If Uldum is not your thing, there is the incoming Kosh’harg festival for the Horde.
There are also many events that aren’t regular or annual, but added together make for a pretty busy schedule. Definitely check out this thread by the amazing Chatty which keeps information about the incoming events up to date!
The big thing on Argent Dawn are the campaigns. These are around 1-2 weeks long happenings with RP every night. Usually it’s about some big boss rising, taking over a zone and the players having to band together and kill it. If it is an RP-PvP campaign, the players band together to kill each other.
The RP-PvE campaigns usually have several points of interest which can be taken up by guilds or groups and cleared in the form of a one-night event.
Usually, more than a hundred people attend these campaigns, with probably the largest one (I remember) being the Drums of War from the summer of 2018, which I believe around 300 people attended. Not sure about that number though. During the campaign, we anticipated the coming of Battle for Azeroth and played out the events of Battle for Darkshore and the Battle for Lordaeron, both being epic, 2-3 week long invasions full of skirmishes and guerrilla warfare.
Once again, recommend the awesome video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k8kXrv4eOc
) from it by Acrona!
Like I said, check the RP calendar by Chatty I linked above! Keeping track of the forums is probably the best way to be informed about the upcoming happenings on AD.
