Be careful as well, how you do it. Remember, Amani are -enemies- of the Horde, so despite the bad blood between the two, Sassing a Blood Elf in Orgrimmar is not going to end well for you, the guards will come down on the Blood Elf’s side. Yep, Even the Darkspear ones, because they hate the Amani too.
Its an interesting choice to make, and I completely get that playing the ‘Outsider’ is an interesting concept, It’s one I love in RP myself to be honest, I’d just caution against making it -too- difficult, especially if new to RP, as you might face a lot of conflict. Like, my Character here, Brigante is almost entirely tolerant, there is only one race he hates. Amani.
He’s a Farstrider, he can’t help it, its part of who he is. If he sees an Amani in Orgrimmar he will turn in disgust away from them, and likely try to summon a guard to have them arrested.
So that’s the main thing to remember. You are not a Darkspear Troll. You do not have a rightful place in the Horde. Your Tribe, is at -war- with the Horde, and those green eyed pink skinned land-thiefs are -more- Horde than you ever will be, so you need to be -clever-.
Its doable, and like I say, playing the ‘Outsider’ can be fun, just be careful to remember that the Amani as a people, are not Horde, and that your ‘brudda Trolls’ ain’t gonna like you much.
Play it smart, and you should be fine…and heck, if people get too ‘in your face’ about it, you can always just lie and say you are a Revantusk, I mean they -are- Horde, and are physically the same as Amani, in fact they are an offshoot of the Amani, same as the Darkspear are from the Gurubashi. That’s how I’d play it “Nah mon, Ai nat be Amani! Revantusk be my tribe, aigh?” I mean what are they going to do, fly to the Hinterlands and check?
Just be wary of the pitfalls of openly admitting to being Amani, is what I would say, especially on Argent Dawn. The Blood Elf players, myself included, take the Blood Elf hatred of Amani -very- seriously
That aside! Welcome to the server, and hope you have fun!
