Based on the numbers given it will take 80 world quests to get a full set of starter pvp gear.
As long as thereâs honor gear thatâs better than the world quests stuff, then thatâs fine and inconsequential.
However, if the world quest crap is supposed to replace honor gear, then thatâs gonna be a problem. Because thatâd mean timegated gear that isnât even conquest gear, and forcing world PvP nonsense on players.
But if thereâs honor gear that you can buy, then all the world quests gear will do is serve as a starter-gear for PvEers to jump into PvP at their choosing, and wonât affect the people who actually PvP from the start.

Warmode incentives are fun, honor gear could be a recolor of this set.
You wonât like it when it turns into Classic. With hit squads flying around 24/7, forcing others to form their own hit squads, and itâs all just a clusterpuck. Once a faction takes control, itâll demotivate the opposite faction as well. Itâs just a huge gate before you can queue if they donât offer at least honor gear that you can farm in instanced PvP.
Donât get me wrong, Iâm not against world PvP. But forcing players into world PvP just to gear up to PvP in instanced content, then thatâs a problem.
Carrots should be something else, like extra honor/conquest to participate in world PvP, or as you said a simple recolor.

This tbh I play on different realm and doing quest while getting ganked by 5 guys alone camping your body is so stupid.
Itâs only fun for the guys farming otherwise itâs pointless and frustrating, personally I never q in wm.
I think it needs to be a balance here, like when you are waiting in bg queue to farm honor gear you can do some world pvp on the side or do some pvp world quests, even if there are hit squads it would only be the first week of the season when people wanna gear up and tryhard.
The fact is though, these quests are so short that bothering to gather a squad to complete them is pointless, never had hit squad problems back in legion and loved every second of every pvp world quest i did especially that one in highmountain.
You didnât have hit squads back then because that wasnât the only way to gear up. But if they make it the only way to gear up, then thatâs what people will swarm towards, and not in a friendly happy-go-lucky way either. Theyâll do it with hit squads.
Also, itâs not just âthe first weekâ. People will do it 'til theyâve got the gear. World quests donât exactly pop up as soon as youâve completed one so itâs not just a straight farm, itâs timegated.
Thatâs why they need to offer honor gear from vendors that you can farm the normal way. Itâs absolutely necessary to avoid this problem. Or else weâll be pucked.
As i said both needs to exist, and there wont be hit squads for a world quest that you can finish in 2 minutes.
Are you saying the PvP world quests, that can only be seen in war mode, will be PvE? Or what?
You can progress it by killing pve mobs inside the quest area like anyother pvp world quest.
Except for the quests where youâre supposed to kill players, which SL gave precedence to. And thereâll be fights to dominate the area as well.
Not a single person will camp a quest area they have already completed.
People will clear the quest and move on.
Iâm not going to wait for players to fly by for me to kill them so my quest can finish 30 seconds faster iâll just kill anything on sight doesnât matter if its player or mob.
Right⊠The same way people donât do queue timing premades to dominate epic BGs just for honor, reputation and achievements, no way people do that.
No way premades jumped around in Trashrans from realm to realm either, just to farm HKs. No way people did that.
People also donât corpsecamp either, that never happens.
I hate to break it to you, but there exists players in the PvP side of the player base in WoW, whose only goal is to make other players miserable. Theyâre sadists. And they play this game.

It has already been explained what the problem is. That isnât PvP. Thatâs just sadism. No challenge, just pure sadism.
The worse that can happen to you is 3 orcs zuging you down and fly away when their quest is finished, or a gigachad alliance like me is on the area and kill everything and all you have to do is heal me to get quest credit.
No, the worst that can happen is that it gates people. Thatâs why there needs to be honor gear that you can purchase from the vendor. As made clear from the very start.
There is honor gear, if you donât wanna wpvp then donât wpvp, iâll have fun killing hordies without cowards like yourself.
i dont have a problem if the pvp world quest gear has similiar ilvl as honor gear. i mean why not? but if they force me to do these world quests would be really bad. Dont think they do that though
