Night Elf Males look awful, like gangling, unwieldy gorillas. Females look elegant.
Female Huntresses are more in keeping with established lore.
Most of the kool kids play female Hunters.

I agree. And the males walking animation? It’s bad.
I’d say Male because of a few reasons, none of which I expect many people to agree with:

There are way more female Night Elves and I personally like to be a bit more of a ‘rare sight’ so to speak, so that would make males more preferable.

In real life, men are and were obviously the hunters so it makes more sense too.

I’ll confess I have played Night Elf female a bit more in the past as well, but I personally like the Night Elf male animations better, except maybe for the casting animations that you won’t be doing as Hunter anyway.

As a Hunter main I can say without any shame that you already play like a pussy when you’re a Hunter, might as well add some balls to it.

Ah but this isn’t real life. In WoW female Kaldorei did most of the fighting, hunting and all the rough and tumble stuff. Female Huntresses, female Setinels, female warriors.
Males, by contrast, spent most of their time lazing around in the Emerald Dream, communing with nature, and generally being bone idle. Only during peiods of dire threat were the Druids awakened to aid in defence.

I think not. He was imprisoned for 10,000 years, and after being released slew a few demons, fought a few Watchers, fought a few undead before getting his asp kicked by Arthas.
I personally do not play female characters since it increases the immersion for me when I play a he (like I am).
Nonetheless, just look at some charcters online and different armors depending on your class and decide intuitively. Female night elves are surely appealing visually in general, while males are the most athletic looking.
Both are tall and front flip all day so no wrong choice there I guess.
