They say that ancient elf style is a concept which not many comprehend. I eagerly partake of it.

The New Year comes close, and with it, Blessings of War! Just to refresh people’s memories: the trials commence the 4th to the 8th of January!

Currently, the following trials are open:

Trial of Ashamane - 13/14 (1 spot left)
Trial of the Twin Bears - 6/8 teams (2 spot for a TEAM left)
Trial of Aviana - Still open!

One more day until the Blessings of War commence! The starting location will be at Ashamane’s Fall, where the Trial of Ashamane is hosted.

Since Ashamane’s Fall isn’t listed on the map, I figured I’d make things easier and create a map. Ashamane’s Fall is at the red cross!

If people still want to sign up for any trials, today is the time to do so! The Twin Bears are open with two more slots, Ashamane is open with one more slot and Aviana’s has no limit currently.

It’s a shame I’ve only stumbled upon this now after being away for a while. I’d have loved to participate in the Trials of Ursoc and Ursol! It’s likely I’ll swing by all the same!

Though upon seeing this, I was wondering if it’d be possible for a last-minute sign up? I assume that means another pair would need to enter too for it to stand!

I shall be coming on Elerenai on the 5th to spectate! She’s been around way too many dead Night Elves lately and been on the front since the War of the Thorns, stranded there. It’d do her a world of good to spend even a little bit of time amongst kin before going back out to the front.

For those attending the Trial of Ashamane tonight, we ask that you make sure that your offering is pre-written. It does not need to be prepared hours in advance, but having something pre-written ensures that the event’s pacing remains smooth. It is especially recommended if you know you are a slow writer!

Parchments with the sigil of the Hand of Cenarius are displayed in Lorlathil, smaller settlements and the Temple of Elune, addressing pilgrims and spectators.

To Malorne’s pilgrims and the spectators,

Gather tomorrow at the 8th bell at Malorne’s Refuge, the shrine of the Great Stag. After a brief introduction speech, the trial shall begin. Latecomers will be excluded from participation.

Lastly, words of advice for the pilgrims: Consider your words as much as your feelings and thoughts, for you will be able to veil little. Empty words will undoubtedly be swiftly rejected as will deceivers and liars. Be careful to not take the task too literal. Shame on you if you step in front of the great Ancient to tell of an unimportant blunder that did not truly touch your soul the slightest.

A note for the Trial of the Great Stag: Participants who fail the trial will find their offering of a personal nature to become enveloped with hardy, magical thorns that cannot be simply removed. Participants can take the item, if they have particularly thick gloves, but will not be able to use it (for obvious reasons). These thorns will be removed if the participant is able to pass the trial at a later date.

A great night was had, with brutal death, treason, and mayhem. Maybe not that dire, but the duels were fun to participate & read over!
