To be fair, the thread shouldn’t be meant to only accept one side of an opinion. This is still a public forum, you cannot expect to avoid criticism simply because you don’t want to. The whole point of a forum is to discuss and to see all sides of the matter.

Do you have a problem with reading comprehension?
During the first 3 expansions the Night Elves did nothing, they got no representation, when people started demanding their race be used the company went and used us as foils, lands that belonged to the Kaldorei were turned Neutral such as Hyjal contradicting previous lore and novels, most of the questlines in Ashenvale show us as incompetent, the entire area is overrun by Horde even tho lorewise it was retaken by Night Elves. The point is the company fails to show us in good light in game.
Go make your own thread about that.
Agreed and it would have been nice if the last 100 comments were actual constructive criticism instead of belittling, and dramatic tantrums from both sides.

And I am gonna keep joking. That’s one of my favorite activities, and its application is not limited to night elves.
It would just be derailed by you and your night elf friends, so I don’t see the point.
Check most of the threads on forums, most of the derailing comes from none Night Elf players, we mostly concern ourselves with issues related to our race unlike the majority of the posters here.

They got as much as most other races, classic is right there to prove that to you.
So lorewise the Night Elves took back their lands and that is bad? Do you honestly expect Blizzard to spend time and resource making these changes in game just to appease a minority of complainers? This is not a nelf only problem and no, it’s not a nelf dominated problem either.

Generalization is one of the weakest defense mechanisms, I never stated it was a Night Elf only issue, once again this is a Night Elf thread were we debate Night elf related problems. Most of the novels do us justice,but how many players read the novels in comparison to the people playing the game?
Can you name another race that was stripped of their units,lore,lands,heroes, and culture?

Okay lets play a game. Which race had their racial leader killed off screen?
Which race has had to take Ls and -never- been allowed to fight back without being told by the story that they are in the wrong for doing so?
Which race has had their current leader basically say to their people that they aren’t allowed to seek revenge because “valid military target.”?
I’ll give you a hint, none of these 3 examples are Night Elves.

You might want to consider the fact that Nelfs were introduced with a lot of lore and representation with Vanilla WoW. They had, by far, the richest lore in WoW while other playable races had next to none.
In BC, where they had us go to an alien planet and introduced two new race, they still got a major nelf figure in the story.
In WOTLK we are fighting an undead king and some evil tentacle god in an area. Yet they still manage to put in at least one story that concerns the nelfs, namely their attempt at recreating the world tree.
In Cataclysm we get a load more lore with the actual Mount Hyjal showing up, but you are upset that others got to experience that story? The nelfs took assistance which was offered to fight a greater threat, which they have done before in Warcraft III.
In Ashenvale you get a story about the whole Horde advancing into nelf lands and the nelfs still slowing them down quite hard, eventually putting up a fight against an an army that was so much numerous and better equipped for war.
Yeah, you people are hard to understand. You want all the attention you can get but are always upset when you get attention. What a joke…

Big claims for someone who does not understand what I posted.
All that you stated were single events instead of an entire culture seen in the WC3 premise that got shattered in WOW, from lands,units,heroes, and even culture.
Which is probably part of the issue. The rich lore attracted a lot of people who became fans of the NE and also gave Blizzard a race to work with. Which often meant to hit them hard since almost all ancient threats are connected to the NE.

So those three questions had nothing to do with units, lore, lands, heroes or culture being “stripped”? Interesting, in that case Night Elves are getting more than most races now and should be happy.

Hyjal was Night Elven land, during the Cataclysm expansion it was turned Neutral, the same with many of cultural things, the Cenarion Circle/Defenders of Hyjal is not a Night Elven faction. These things got stripped from us, even our Leader Malfurion Stormrage was doing out of character things for the sake of the Horde, he was turned Neutral and would not even defend Tyrande in Darnassus. Cenarius who was killed by Horde now welcomes them in Hyjal…the list goes on, I just want you to understand our position and why we whine.
