I really want it to be based around the armour in Darkshore, although maybe make it a bit more 3d looking and fancy. I have wanted the armour shown in the original cinematic for the night elves since vanilla, the race is supposed to be all about being savage and in touch with nature, they can`t do that if they surround themselves in lots of fancy armour, the minimal look is perfect for the lore and feel of the race. I really hope they don’t just give us something similar to blood elves as that set suits them well, but really doesn’t fit night elves, Night Elves fighting style is to hide and then strike unseen from the trees, they can’t do that if there rattling around in plate and chainmail armours that cover them head to toe.
You have my vote.

Personally I've always likened NE to Predators. A terrible force, skulking unseen in dark woods, hunting their prey, then suddenly descending from nowhere, savagely tearing their victims apart. That same feeling of horror the original Predator movie inspired.
With Terror of Darkshore portraying exactly that, I'm hopeful that the heritage armor will reflect that fantasy.
Fair amount of exposed skin with some armor, maybe bones and leather, a few Orc/Troll skulls as trophies, etc.

idk, I think Id feel abit cheated if other races got a whole set of heritage armor and I got fancy underwear!
I like the Darkshore set but Id prefer something that was similar but had some sort of leg and chest piece, maybe cloth or leather looking....basically just fill in most of the naked skin!

The WoW cinematic armour is all good and well for a Druid who shapeshifts all the time but what about the other classes?
I can't see a Warrior, Hunter or Rogue running around in the bare minimum.
I'm genuinely worried it will be silly. Looking good, but silly for most classes (as is the deal with the heritage sets for other races).

its not just druids , hunters are portrayed in the less is more look too, cloth types don't need much anyway and I really don`t think of NE warriors wearing full plate armour, I know in game they act the same as any other race, but the real fighting style of NE`s is as portrayed in the recent darkshore cinematic, they hide, hit and disappear again, for that you need to be lightly armoured, and silent, not kitted out in loads of metal, and void elf heritage armour shows a lot of skin, even for plate classes, its a bra top and not even an armoured one!

Hunters will look ok. Archers are not Knights. For too long Blizzard gearing Hunters as some kind of Paladins...
Archers should be geared in a light armor. In leather even.
For an elf archer in fantasy world this set from DarkShores is perfect!!!

You realize nobody would be forcing you to wear it right?
The point is the armor needs to be authentic, and authentic for night elves just so happens to be fancy underwear.
It's not like the game is running low on more-coverage options.... It IS however preciously short on good skimpy options. Please stop asking for the one -authentic- skimpy option to be changed?
