Nightborne lore, additional sources

Oh Janear my dear, it happens still, all the time, but night elf discussions tend to be restricted to night elf related topics, of which nightborne will always remain

Off course night elf fel mastery is far better than blood elves because of demon hunters, blood elves came late to that party, all the Nelf demon hunters were esteemed trainers of newbie blood elves in TBC or do you not know that, this is why human and forsaken warlocks are way ahead of blood elf ones too, they’ve been at it longer. Or have you forgotten how Nelves were all righteous, high upstanding noble types before Arthas gave em such a spanking and showed em shot had the power. The entire blood elf mindset is a hissy fit reaction to that spanking, they even turned to the horde thinking it woukd make them more powerful than they were before so they would nèded be humiliated, and still high elves and void elves take them down so easily and humans still humiliate them.

How the horde working out for yeh? The sooner the nightborne get what they want and leave these losers, the better.

You are as bad those alliance highelf Zealots, maybe worse. It’s sad really. Thought this was an honest thread about just getting new information for nightborne sources but no. Just an addition to your power fantasy thread instead.

Sounds like head canon. Can you link a source for that? Afaik they where there on the same time. Varedis was the best Demon Hunter student which we know btw.

Here. Say hello to the Nightborne Priestess.

Oh really, where are your Night Elves, summoning demons and actually wielding fel magic, without becoming a Demon Hunter?

Oh yes, those reserved and controlled arts are in Quel’Thalas. Make no mistake either, under the Sin’dorei, Suramar will always become a safe haven for controlled fel magic.

Night Elves lack all forms of control when it comes to fel magic. Look at the Satyr. They are the reason behind Highborne obsession and failure.

And join the Alliance? Please…have you heard the outrage from Alliance fans of recent on how their faction works “Humans and friends.” No, the Nightborne are far better off being away from that crap and with the Sin’dorei, they can prosper to become greater magic wielders.

It’s clear the Alliance Night Elves are a failure. Ask the Sin’dorei themselves. It’s the Alliance Night Elves that drove them into the Horde in the first place and they’ve done it again with the Shal’dorei.

If Tyrande had maintained diplomatic ties then the Nightborne might have gone to her, but she didn’t and neither did anyone else from the Alliance. Tyrande and Vereesa’s folly is not at the fault of Liadrin and Lor’themar. They chose to maintain ties with Suramar and they were rewarded.

Of which will involve Sin’dorei talk, since Sin’dorei and Shal’dorei are close allies.

You will never get solo talk about night elves and nightborne anymore because the blood elves are the ones who got them into the factions.

It’s neither us Blood Elf or Nightborne fans who dictate what happens. It’s the lore.

Blood Elves have always maintained the utmost respect for their Highborne ancestors and those Highborne ancestors can be seen as a reflection to both the Blood Elves’ situation in TBC and the situation of their Highborne ancestors during the WoTA.

I’ll go back to Janearis now.

Why does every Nightborne on this page use the same transmog? It gets confusing, so much purple.

I think it is the Heritage armour set? Could be wrong. Must admit, I am (slowly :frowning: ) levelling my Nightborne up in order to get that set, looks kind of snazzy, although I don’t think I’ll do the same with my Dark iron, when I unlock them, I think she’d look better in the Blackrock armour from the WoD Garrison, so might use my 110 boost that I am still greedily clutching in my grubby little paws for that.

Also, Kelibor, remain civil, there is no need to call people pathetic, when you are derailing the thread to be about Night Elves.

Purple is the only way forward.

As Brigante says, ‘tis the heritage gear. It’s not even remotely unique but good lord it’s pretty.

Speaking of mogs, I actually made another topic in General about having artifact skin spec locks lifted, as the hidden Fire skin was actually a strong NB themed weapon; but I wanted to go arcane. Even the first reply on that thread was somebody trying to derail it into “I want nigjtborne on alliance!!!1”

Much better, sooner you permanently leave t hat obnoxious blood elf behimd the better. Stars guide you, tanu’balah

Our Kaldorei other half are still a bit too concerned with their purity , but the Illidari are helping them see reason. I won’t hold my breath, I think demon hunters is the most they would accept because those at least hate demons.

Suramar doesn’t need the sin’dorei to be great at anything, we already surpass them in everything. We can expand their knowledge on handling magic though.

And night elves dont lack any control, we were all kaldorei once and it is here we learnt and mastered magic, we achieved more in this period than any of us have achieved in the 10,000 years since, but during that time we all learnt from the mistakes of the past and overcame the problems with addiction, we are in a better place now than ever before for both excellence and health.

Oh, no, join the alliance when the kaldorei take their rightful place as it’s leader or make their own faction, still humans are curious, both Shal’dorei, sin’dorei think highly of them?

Isn’t Tyrande your class leader? High priestesses have never seen eye to eye with night elf rulers since before the days of Azshara, I would think your loyalties lie towards your Order first then your people. Or is it different for the devotees of Elune now?

A faction it is looking like a big mistake to have joined, a rather haßty decision not all nightborne agree on I can assure you.

Look at them, pathetic, we thought the sin’dorei better at first, but despite their civilization, their morals, standards have slipped, they’ve become as barbaric, viscious and spiteful as the savages they’ve gotten into bed with, the quel’dorei, ren’dorei and kaldorei may not have the lands and infrastructure, but they have retained their nobility and strength, without compromise and given the powers they have access to, it wont be long before they do again.

Nightborne don’t care about the horde, we are only there because of the sin’dorei, and are regretting it already, some of us I think would prefer it with the other elves, and most of us would have preferred to be neutral

I am suprised that Janearis still is willing to argue in this thread, since she’s only wasting her breath. (Fingers in that case)

Kelibor is lost case, let him go to his Alliance friends, alone, and experience human potential first hand if he’s craving for it so much.

When I look at the Nightborne fanbase, I think it’s a mistake that we cured them from their addiction.

Source then?

Valtrois and Rexxar both agree that the war is going down a perilous journey. It’s far more likely the Horde will oust Sylvanas long before the Nightborne betray the Blood Elves for their inward kin.

Nightborne care about the foundations of the Horde and their principals. Strength, determination and individuality. That is what the Horde boasts and delivers as we can see with it’s races and their outlooks. They are not clouded by Humans and having to do things “a Human way, to benefit Humans.”

No, this character is the High Priest of all various Priest organizations and if this Priest did pay respects to a lore figure, it would be Alonsus Foal for founding the organization.

Won’t happen, because that’s totally detrimental to Alliance lore. As much as I hate the Humans and Dwarves, it’s them and the High Elves who should remain the…main leaders of the Alliance.

Except the arts of controlling demons and fel. Quel’Thalas holds knowledge previously unknown to the Shal’dorei, whilst the Sin’dorei know what the Shal’dorei’s expertise is with Magic and it’ll go as no wonder that the Sin’dorei will take to leyline study and advanced telemancy with ease because of their mastery of the arcane already.

Check the Satyr. Highborne psychos who serve the Legion and the Old Gods. A prime example of Highborne Kaldorei who lack control of fel magic.

The Nightborne and Blood Elves are far more controlled with fel magic and have surpassed any foolish night elf who attempts to summon demons.

It’s not the Nightborne fanbase that is the problem here. It’s the Night Elf/Alliance fanbase who just demand everything.
Night Elf/Alliance fans say what’s what and the rest of us simply have to follow orders? No chance. There’s a reason why I mainly play Horde now and it’s the exact reason why the Sin’dorei and Shal’dorei were pushed to the Horde.

To be fair, when I look at the Night Elf fanbase, I think Sylvanas didn’t do a thorough enough job…

I don’t even like Sylvanas and I agree with this.

There is only one reason to join a faction to the Nightborne. That where the Blood Elves. The Alliance have no nice race for them.

Todays Suramar is not a City of what we understand as “Nightelves”. It’s a city of highborn… the same people the nightelves banished who became bloodelves/highelves.

The Nightelves of today descend of/are lowborn elves and only accepted highborn Nightelves (the Shen’dralar) back into their society when they were desperate after the cataclysm (with a few murders that went unpunished…).

So what are you even talking about here?^^
Why would the Nightborne would want to join this narrowminded dogmatic rabble who turned on their own kin (highborn) after the war of the ancients?

The problem is that they don’t chose a race. They chose a faction. Look at the other races of the horde. They’re all ugly and kinda primitive. Look at the alliance. Much nice & beautiful races which even have something like a normal looking city. The most races even use the current magic. It’s just funny that they chose a faction, because the liked one race. I just think that they joined them, because the doesn’t really inform themselves about the factions.

Well, that’s an understatement.

Okay they joined the next sympathetic race in the daction without even even really know their other members & their history. Thalyssra even said in Dazar’alor that they still tell their children that Trolls are monsters. Just think about it…

Or perhaps they did? “We have -Everything- in common with this race, who is also nice to us, and they chose to join X Faction, some of whom look funny, but there you go” "We have nothing in common with Y Faction, some of whom -also- look funny. (Remember they would not have seen Worgen in numbers, Dwarves at -all-, Gnomes at -all-, Draenei only as invaders of the Legion, in fact all they would have known really, are the Night Elves, who just fecked them off). To be honest it was ‘Side with people we have something in common with’ or ‘Side with people we have nothing in common with’…

It really is a no-brainer.
