Nightelf Paladin ?

So we got so hard teasered in Legion to get Nelf Paladins and they are still not here.
Sadly i cant wait to get my LF Draenei to a Nelf i even have a good name in wait all that time. Also she would be my main of that reason.

This thread can also be taken as a discussion platform for cosmetics.
Yo Warlocks out there do you like that green fire ? yeah ?
why not add similar things for other classes ? Like Paladins let them get a questline with the nelf paladins to add silver light effects for them?

That would be hilarious.
Thanks.

Greetings Lena

I know right?! I fully expected they’d announce Nelf to be the new paladin race back when Bfa was announced. It was the perfect opportunity too. Fingers crossed for next expansion though.

I really like the idea of adding more cosmetics and customizations for classes too. Like getting quivers back. Also like the class “skins” ideas that T&E showcased months ago. LF Draenei shadow priests having light themed abilities, etc.

Yes, this is just 1 of the like 4 class / spec combos that are not playable and should be by now.

Like you, I originally thought Nelf pallies appeared for the first time in Legion. Then, while questing in Classic Darkshore, I came across this guy called Balthule Shadowstrike, who basically tells you that he’s an apprentice to a human paladin called Delgren and that they’re working together to fight corruption in the elven forests. He specifically states that the human teached him how to fight and introduced him to the holy light religion/magic. In other words, Night elf paladins would make perfect sense after all and personally I would be really excited to roll one, since they combine my favourite race and class!

It could actually make sense, and a welcome addition.

Tauren are paladins for worshipping the sun and using the powers of the sun’s light and flame for justice.
Nightelf paladins would be no different with the powers of Elune, kaldorei priestesses already do pretty much all of what paladins could do but without iron clad armour and swords.

Before Cataclysm even priest abilities were actually adjusted to its respective race.
Draenei used the power of the naaru and Nightelves used the power of the moon as one ability which changed with the race you played. (didnt play Horde much then to remember their abilities.)

Having that as a comeback for priests and paladins + nightelf pallies would make the class fantasy a lot cooler.

I would prefer Eredar paladins instead, like Velhari.
If not playable Eredar, at least cosmetics for regular draenei.

Paladin with racial inviz? No thx. Too much OP!

Paladin with Stomp is the most annoying OP bs I always face, just so you know.

i never thought nelf paladins where the first one in legions i knew them for a long time i just hoped they added them after legion

You can probably find various npcs in the game that can do things that the players can’t.

But with Allied races and the changes we keep having to what race can do what, you just never know

Just because there are one or two of slmething, doesn’t mean there is enough for the wntire playerbase to start using them!

Night Elf Paladins are special because they have lived away from their normal Night Elven culture and instead mingled with the light-worshipping zealots lf human society.

Night Elves might get angry and become Night Warriors, but they culturally do not have the impulse to form a paladin-like cadre.

The Night Elf Paladins we have worship the Light at least to some extent and have adopted Human culture. There would be no similar Elune-Worshipping knight in the original culture.

Lmao.

Yeah, no… as seen in the Well of Eternity dungeon, a kind of Night Elven Paladin was sort of a common thing, at least when it comes to royal guards.

So no, it’s not those “one or two” nelfs in the class hall.

Also, wasn’t a bunch of trash mobs a precedent for the whole zanda “paladin” order? That “it totes made sense cuz they were using seals and hands spells!!!1!”

Night Elf paladins would make a million times more sense than tauren and zandas combined :smirk:
…not that I would play them, Lightforged are the ultimate master race anyway :ok_hand:

i’d switch all my characters to Nightelf if Class/Race restrictions were gone and i could still play with my friends on Horde side
We have Tauren Paladins, Nightelf Paladins make just as much sense as them so i dont see why we cant have it

It’s no more or less ridiculous than the Taurens being sun powered.
