I’ve been leveling up a enhancement shaman and planning to get Nightfall, but I can’t find anybody who can craft it, and getting exalted with Thorium Brotherhood requires a huge number of MC mats that I think I’ll struggle to get. On the other hand, the Annihilator plans dropped for me in LBRS the other day, so I’ll be able to craft that no problem. But I want to understand if Annihilator is worthwhile in comparison to Nightfall
Are there any stats on Annihilator raid dps or tank threat benefits? From reading and running sims I can see that Nightfall gives about 2-3% DPS increase per mage/warlock. I understand it depends on boss armour and raid composition, but is there any way to get to a similar approximate stat for Annihilator?
The other benefit of Annihilator is as a one handed I can equip a shield or offhand for more mana for totem twisting, and potentially frees up a spare talent point (but what would I move it to?), at the cost of even lower personal dps from using a one hander.
