Ninja-tag on quest mobs

It’s extremely annoying that people are going around and ninja-aggro quest mobs with long spawn timers… It happens all the time, and it really kills the fun for everyone who has been waiting for the spawn, just tp have some asswipe ninja-aggro the long awaited spawn. Can Blizz please do something to prevent this?

Was it a hunter? I bet it was a degenerate hunter.

It’s annoying but it’s part of the game. For those situations get a group and don’t run around like an idiot. If people don’t invite you then get on with it. You clearly didn’t play in 2005 so don’t waste your time.

I did play Vanilla. Been playing on and off since 2005. You’re assuming way too much. Back in Vanilla, people actually waited in line. But I guess you don’t remember that.

We all played in 2005 and we all still hate ninja-aggroing/ninja-looting scum. We’re allowed to vent this on forums.

I don’ t think it is only about who played in vanilla, but more about the masses who comes from Retail.

They want everything… first and fast, like they are used to, and they give cr*p about waiting in line. And this is not a bashing, I am just pointing out that this is what people have been used to, though many years of wow. First, Fast, Gimme, me, me and… ME.

But yeh, I remember especially Hunters, Mages and Rogues as being the annoying a** hats with ninjapulling too :stuck_out_tongue:

Its the private server no-life nerds who already spent 6 months pre-release minmaxing who are to blame for this. Now everyone is ‘get 60 fast!!’

Then again, you might actually misjudge just how many Vanilla players came back, exclusively for Classic.

Not only those, there is a LOT coming from Retail as well. And in retail it is as I described.

People ninjapull left and right, doesn’t matter if you camped a place for hours for a rarespawn (though at least there’s shared tag - if you can make the tag that is). People can’t wait for hesistant/new tanks and pull everything.
Everything in retail is about “hand to me on a silverplatter” and “Fast, faster, FASTER”

It’s a known issue, and yet people are so used to it, it takes them time to adapt.

So basically, anyone who complains should gtfo to retail then?

Not like we’re asking for much. I think a perfectly reasonable change is to active shared tagging for particular mobs that have a long respawn timer. All others can remain as per norm to maintain the social aspects of the game without completely comprimising gameplay.

As a druid i will tell you this much: either you invite me to your party and i will tag the mob for us. Or i will just tag it for myself and get on with lvling

Also i havent seen a single que on gehennas, its a free for all (me) here!

Well. #NoChange guys would probably scream this:

While. We can debate how big or small that change will be. Blizz did promise to make Classic as close to Vanilla as possible. Once people start asking for small changes, they can snowball into big changes(we changed that 1 small thing, we can easily change that other small thing!). Once you have a “precedent” then its difficult to stop.

“A large forest fire usually starts with 1 small lit match”.

True I understand this.

Guess there’s no other option than to be a complete mongrel and start camping northshire valley as soon as I hit lvl 60. Let them feel the ‘classic experience’

#NOCHANGES

You cant as it is alliance territory, might i suggest redridge instead?

Sounds like a plan mate

Well. People did survive without the shared tag system for a long while?
When was the shared tag system introduced anyway? Mop? Cata?(a genuine question, cause I cant remember  )

Ninja-tag you mean.

I thought the title meant something else. Have you ever watched someone who had to run away from a mob, laughing at them and then suddenly when out of range the mob instantly aggros you even though you weren’t involved?

That’s what I would call ninja aggro

lack of shared mob tagging isn’t a technical limitation.

Except that’s not necessary to share a mob tag so you’re talking out your butt. They implemented it for convenience, when they had already done so much for that reason.
