No new delves in 11.2

According to the roadmap, 11.2 wont have any new delves, but “new open world challenges”.

Good riddance i guess?

It is like saying that they gave up on dungeons if they do not add new ones in a content patch

I prefered Torghast anyways

Agree, anima powers were fun, also had tons of tmogs.

What tmogs? You mean those 50 versions of pretty much the same shoulders?

pretty much this

Better than the 3 “different” candle-hat in my opinion. And not only shoulders are available from there.

I agree, there should be more cosmetics in delves. But common, Torghast and tmogs is almost an oxymoron.

Seems fair.

Also, let’s not forget that with catalyst you are converting delve cosmetics into raid cosmetics. It’s kinda two flies killed with one swing. Plus mount to tinker.

Maybe some ‘organic’ mount for those who don’t like tinkering.

new open world challenges means new delves

its just wording most likely collectively adding other world content as well as delves so they just say " open world challenges "

lets not take the assumption it means no new delves

Dunno, they used “new delves” in 11.1, but not in 11.2. Why would they use different wording if not about dropping delves?

They still use new raid, new dungeons ect. and not referring them as “new group content”.

Why are you surprised ?

Delves were made for casuals (people that play low amount of hours). If you “hard-core” the game mode and bulldoze through it then delves are not made for you.

This is some heavy theory but ok. Maybe it’s because of their alleged intention to deliver next expansion sooner. 11.2 might be the last ‘true’ update for this expansion and then some short(ish) fated season.

Once again, just my speculation.

Those to things are not the same though… A casual player can put in a lot of hours in the game.

And Delves were not made for “casuals” it was made with solo players in mind. Just like some people would bulldoze M+, Delves were made for people wanting to progress characters in solo challenges.

So not really sure where you get your idea from?

They are using vague wording on purpose for stuff that’s further down the timeline.
That way they can’t be accused of not keeping their promises.

There will be plenty of stuff that we get next year that’s not on that roadmap.

That’s right. World content players and solo players (there can be overlap between the two of course, as well).

delves are ever green content they said

its a pillar of the endgame content now
the arent giving up on delves its most likely just to keep it a secret

id expect a new delve boss

One thing that did surprise me, was when Ion mentioned new stuff for Brann in s2.
They said we’d get a new companion in s2 for a long time. Guess they changed their mind?

Yeah of course - it was just to underline, that it is a bit undermining calling solo players “casuals (that don’t put in a lot of hours)” just because they don’t PVP or do raids/m+

I bet “solo players” put a lot more time into the game than the “raid loggers” do :joy:
