That is the case on all low pop servers though
People would get less boosts if there were more people joining when they look for a dungeon group
Not sure what you expect, people used to boost their friends back then as well.
Thats the issue, people wont play the game normally anymore since boosting is superior to running dungeons the intended way. Only way to fix this is to either make boosting less rewarding by scaling down the exp or to make questing more rewarding in terms of exp.
People will just move onto the next best grind then. If they don’t want to go the long way, they wont.
Yeah, the moment I realized that the class I’ve chosen to play as support which should have it easier to find other players to work together with has less value than spell-cleaving mage now.
It’s really pain to level up paladin these days if all you are capable of doing by yourself without getting yourself killed by mobs are low-level green quests because you got late to the WoW Classic and missed the initial wave of leveling players.
Other option is to use the gold you don’t have to spent on level 40 mount to jump in the boost train and postpone the acquisition of the level 60 one.
3 gold per run and no loot for you, let’s see how long will your money last.
I can only hope that people will still be doing at least level 55+ dungeons and that I wouldn’t have to beg others to form group for Blackrock Depths/Spire or Strathome and Sholomance while everyone else will be doing Naxxramas.
It’s a harsh reality but after over a year it’s only natural to see very low interest in running low level dungeons. It should be easier to find groups for 50+ dungeons, especially Scholo/Strath as a lot of people might need reputation for their Naxx attunement.
At least with Dungeon Finder you were able to play your own character while dungeon leveling. #NOCHANGES worked out well, eh?
This implies that “changes”, e.g Dungeon Finder, would break the boost meta - which it wouldn’t. People use boosts, not becaus they cant find groups (which still is possible), but because they want to get to max level asap.
I mean, you still are able to play your character however you want, correct?
So could you explain further?
At the moment there is an effort involved in finding a group, and WOW players are generally very lazy. If you can just queue for a dungeon, have it pop, you’ll find more people doing dungeons and probably less boosting. Although, I think you probably need a few more tweaks in regards to experience gains per level, as well as nerfing experience while grouped with a higher level to make any serious dent.
I’m just talking from my own situation, I pay for boosting because it takes too long to try and find a group. If I had the option of queuing for a dungeon while I am questing, I would have done that instead of being boosted.
Obviously, it’s near the end of the game.
“I postponed levelling until the end of the game and now the game is dead”
Pretty much, most of the time you’re spending 1-2 hours to even find a tank.
Why bother waiting that long for minimum XP, when you could either just get boosted / quest.
If we had the group finder like TBC does, where people can apply to your group… it’ll be better. ( Not the automated version)
I simply cannot find any group for “less relevant” dungeons like RFK/RFD, or any of the mid-level elite quests like Stormgarde. The initial rush to 60 has sucked the fun out of one of the few decent aspects of Vanilla, the leveling experience. You can barely level any gear-dependent class now without boosts as you cannot do your dungeons in time. Let’s all make freakin’ mages and spam Blizzard 'till the world ends, cause you know that’s totally fun.
Low pop servers - where do you find them? PvE that is. Hydraxian WL is not low, sorry to disappoint you., the best you can get is Medium, if you don’t want a PvP server.
Plenty of people were doing dungeons and still leveling well within first 6-7 months of Classic. You’re complaining that no one is doing early game content when we’re already in the endgame.
I think a lot of people are boosting alts more than their main character, at least for people I know. Personally I would never pay for a boost but have been in groups where a level 60 in our guild or friend made it much easier for us to beat dungeons or do elite quests.
Because fools wanted no changes.
We could have had XP from pvp from the start, No XP if being boosted and fewer stupid world buffs that made the game easier than retail.
Which is exactly where i was told to go for asking for positive changes to classic.
