No one should be forced to PVP

2400 battle grounds to get the wrists which are bis for paladin. I still say the same I’ve said before no one should be forced to PVP, it’s a PVE game. This is wrong no way should a PVP item be the best for PVE either it should work both ways or PVP items should not work for PVE and vice versa. It’s just wrong. Atm PVE items are not good for PVP this needs to be changed.

But yes, PvP is bad and should be removed, or at least made completely sepperate from PvE

You are not forced to PvP… You want BiS and you choose to engage in PvP. You don’t need the wrists, you want them and so you CHOOSE to engage in PvP, you are not forced into it.

It genuinely brings me joy to see the pve heroes complain about having to do pvp. For “once” its that way, and not the other way around (which it has been for YEARS!)

Is it outrageous to have to do that INSANE amount of bgs to get an item, yes it is. And afaik its “only” bracers? so its not really needed to get them, is it… Could be WAY worse (like trinkets or weapons)

Who said that SoD was a pve game?

I’ve asked for the separation of pve and pvp for years. Blizz are completely incapeable of balancing those 2 together.

I can accept that talents and abilities are balanced around pve, fine. All i ask is that pvp gear is better for pvp.

Things are ofc different in SoD, since there isnt any resilience afaik. Nor is there arena where you need X trinket or Y shadowmourne.
But you get my idea.
I want to pvp, and i want to get the gear i can use in pvp from pvp activities.

And now with the rank decay gone, maybe its gonna be easier getting rank gear at 60. One can hope anyway:)

Yes of course they should be separated, but vanilla andies do not want that because that’s how it is in retail

SoD now is experiencing the same issues retail went through a decade ago, namely tanks being too overtuned for BGs and people dying in 2 seconds, but they would rather have that than admit the necessity of separation

At least PvP players will be easily able to get their gear now

I love that you can use PVE gear in PVP. I always hate that “hey, I killed the mighty lich and took his helmet; too bad it is always useless against players.”.
In Vanilla and 2019 Classic, I combined so many gears and sets to try different playstyles and builds in PVP. It was so fun. And you come up with this stupid argument.
What we got with separate PVP and PVE gear was always the same gear, with no creativity for the players. Hey, I have 100agi 200stam 100 resil. Finally, I have an upgrade to 130agi 250stam 130 resil. I cannot wait to get 150agi 300stam 150 resil. What a boring bull****.
Go play retail if you want that boring nonsence. I am playing here because I want to play RPG again, and if I kill a lich and get an item with interesting stats, I want to try it against other players. That’s the main reason why I want that item in the first place.

Yeah, in the thread about PVP and PVE gear without mention of runes. You clearly want to separate all PVE and PVP. And it is the same nonsence anyway. What option of builds would you get if those runes were separate for PVE and PVP only? How many options of build would have hybrid classes (even now have less than others)? Like with gplyhs in WOTLK? Only one option?
This version was clearly made with a vanilla mindset; separating PVE and PVP was one of the worst things that happened to WOW, and it was made because of Blizz’s laziness.

or you can just not do that, get the 2nd bis, and call it a day

The reason why the PvP minigame was separated from the main game was because PvP encounters are very different from normal encounters. If you want to keep it together you need class variables to satisfy twice as many equations, which is infinitely more complicated, therefore it was much more rational to separate PvP from the rest of the game

The new tanking runes are a very good example of how a regular ability becomes broken in PvP while being totally ok in general.

If you do not want separate rules for the minigame, do not get surprised when you get severe imbalances like now

The beauty of this, is that the winner is then decided by who is the better player.
For those who enjoy pvp, and maybe play it abit more than just casually, this is important.

You have no idea how frustrating it is to outplay someone, but they dont have to worry about anything technical, simply because they can outdmg you. Why? Because they got some weapon in pve, in a content that is nowhere near relevant to what is happening right “now” (pvp)

This is all fun and games for the casual player. And thats completely fine, you dont have to take pvp “seriously”.

This goes both ways. Im tired of pve’ers getting favoured in pvp. (which blizzard even mention in tbc classic, banning certain non-pvp items in arena. And also discussing about banning glaives, sadly they chickened out on that though. But this a different topic)
