As i understand time is changed and those quests are not anymore playable, which sucks, as they are still in achievement list. How i can play them? Is there way to turn back the time like in Blasted Lands? There was some NPC who did it.
Yes you will find a npc to turn back time
Yeah, the Hordeâs precious Forsaken consensually (according to 9.1.5âs general direction of wording) blighted Southshore and made ooze of the Alliance questgivers. (I donât know why anyone would want that to happen to themselves, but hey this is 9.1.5!)
So no more Alliance quest hub. We still got the quest in Stormwind Keep though for something regarding ogres in Alterac.
I know.
Oh? You must be playing on Horde then, because I canât see any listing for Hillsbrad Foothills on my Alliance chars.
No.
Cacaclysm zone revamps made the previous version of the zones unavailable for the players. Good thing they learned to implement Zidormi for phasing the later zone revamps, but I wish they could make the no-fly pre-cata zones available again through phasing. Shouldnât be too had to do as they clearly have the old zones laying around and used in Classic.
Yeah. Look at your map for a speech bubble. Might be Zidormi at the south of Arathi. Maybe that also covers Hillsbrad.
Stop trolling OP, guys⊠Not even Arathi Highlandâs Zidormi can make pre-cataclysm Hillsbrad Foothills available.
I wasnât trolling.
If OP really wants pre-Cata Hillsbrad, you are right; itâs not available.
And you are also right
that there is no Alliance quest achievement.
But if OP says they are showing in his achievements, he must be looking at a Horde.
Now, as far as I know, Hillsbrad was not affected by the Arathi phasing, so maybe Iâm wrong about that. I havenât been through Hillsbrad in a LONG time.
Yes, it is not in quests achievement list, my fold, i looked exploration achievement.
PS: i am also bit worried that if there are many of such former allied zones without quests i may run out quests before i reach 60. Questing is fun, but grinding pet battles or mini games not so much.
Also, i never used Chromie, but is it possible i can play those zones using Chromie?
for alliance only ââexplore hillsbrad foothillsââ exists.
also victory in hillsbrad (is a brawl event southshorevstarrenmill)
blizzard destroyed the zone, one of my favourites after darkshore and ashenvale, to think of it, they destroyed most alliance cherished zones, since they dont care about alliance (theyre all horde mains)
On the flip side, as a Horde Undead, I laughed my head off when I first saw Southshore in ruins post Cata.
Seeing it covered in hat lovely green goo.
HAHA! Southshore destroyed
However, weâll not talk aboutâŠsniffâŠCamp T
OK what you just said is a Big Deal, so letâs take a breath.
At level 45, you are too high-level to get any significant XP from any quests in Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor, so you will never level to 60 at all there with quests and kills. I donât think you can even reach 50.
You can still do the quests, at any level, even level 60; you just wonât get any XP from them.
If you go talk to Chromie, she can send you to one of the other expansions, where you will get XP at normal rates, and level to 50. After 50, Chromie wonât talk to you anymore; you can get XP only in Shadowlands.
Hopefully they will add this as a feature in the future (for all Vanilla zones).
If there is an achievement for doing Hillbrad then it is likely only doable on a Horde character. Itâs possibly linked with an Alliance zone so doing one will give the other. Bloodmyst Isle is linked with Azshara in this way. If you do Bloodmyst Isle on an Alliance character you will get the Azshara achievement on your Horde characters.
No, the other way.
By using Chromie, all content everywhere from every past expansions scales with your level, and you wont outlevel any content until your character reaches level 50 and get âthrown outâ of Chromie time.
Here it doesnât matter which expansion you pick, you can go where you like. The expansion you pick from Chromie time only matters in regards of which Dungeons you can queue up to during leveling if you are into doing dungeons.
I also want to mention that you can level up without Chromie at all, but you need to be vary of when you start overleveling the content and move on.
And most important: Start with the quests in the zones you first are going to outlevel so you donât waste zones with quests that scales with you longer!
In order to level up without Chromie, you start leveling in Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outland or Northrend. When you reach level 30, you need to move on.
Your next options for leveling are the zones that came new with Cataclysm (Vashjâir and Twilight Highlands in Eastern Kingdoms, Uldum and Mount Hyjal in Kalimdor, and Deepholm in The Maelstrom. The intro quests to those zones can be obtained on any Heroâs Call Board.
Or you can start leveling in Pandaria. Then you need to pick up the intro quest for Jade Forest from any Heroâs Call Board, that way you get access to the portal at portal room in Stormwind to Pandaria.
When you reach level 35 it is time to move on again, and this time you need to obtain the intro quest to Warlords of Draenor.
Then at level 40 you can head back to Stormwind and pick up the Legion introduction quest that unlocks quests on Broken Isles. At level 45 your jump over to Kul Tiras for the last few levels before you are deemed ready for Shadowlands.
This option surely isnât as practical as entering Chromie time, but it is possible and you get to open up most legacy content on your way to level 50, making it much easier and practical to return to these lowlevel old zones if you have any desire to do the remaining quests for the story, or have any relaxing solo runs in legacy dungeons and raids.
âAfter 50, Chromie wonât talk to you anymore;â
What you mean about this? That after lvl 50 i cannot anymore play old expansions? Or it was figuratively spoken?
Problem is that i donât play because of XP (getting 60 as fast as possible) but i want play all possible quests.
I posted about worries running out of quest months ago and got optimistic answers that there are tons of quests, more than enough.
GrĂĄinne here means that Chromie wont give you the option to enter Chromie Time after level 50. You can still play the old expansions and the quests will always be around waiting for you.
How i play old expansions without Chromie Time? The quests before cataclysm as example?
At level 50, Chromie literally will not talk to you. She will not adjust your level and the mobsâ level to be the same.
At level 50, everything that is there for you to do will still be there for you to do. The quests donât go away just because you are higher level.
You could level to 60, and STILL go back and do any quests you missed.
You just go there and do the quests same as you would now.
Excellent
Some quests were removed with Cataclysm. The only way to do those quests is to play Classic wow.
Letâs start at the beginning:
With World of Warcraftâs initial release aka vanilla we got Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. All quests from this release is mostly gone, I will get back to why.
Then came The Burning Crusade with the continent Outland, followed by Wrath of the Lich King and the continent Northrend.
Now we have reached the Cataclysm expansion which only added a small handful of new zones to the game. However, this Cataclysm also revamped every single zone from Vanilla on Eastern Kingsoms and Kalimdor.
With this revamp flying was added to Azeroth, but also many zones where drastically changed. Here Hillsbrad Foothills is one of the most changed zones questingwise as you have experienced, where Alliance barely have any quests there at all.
Cataclysm is probably what learned Blizzard a lesson about how not to revamp zones, because is was exrtemely unpopular.
Although no pre-cacaclysm quests and zones are available on retail, this is the last time Blizzard removed old content. For later occasions starting with WoD Blasted Lands we got Zidormi and phasing between different versions of zones that have been reused in newer expansions.
