I’m running WoW on an M1 Mac mini (macOS Monterey 12.4) and there’s no in-game sound since the 9.2.7 patch (45114 release arm64). Sound is working fine in other games and applications.
Toggling sound on/off and adjusting the volume in the WoW settings doesn’t fix, neither does a system restart. I have no AddOns installed. The output device (‘System Default’ in the sound settings) is a pair of headphones. If I unplug these and use the Mac mini internal speaker I still get no sound in WoW.
An OS update might indeed help here - but I’d also recommend to double-check if audio permissions within MacOS are still set correctly. Every time an application is updated said permissions need to be granted anew by the operating system , and while this usually happens automatically it may at times not work quite as smoothly.
Hi
I also have the same problem on my Mac studio no sound what so ever.
Crazy thing is I go to to the inbuilt voice chat option that works with no problem.
Looks to me like you broke your code some where on the last update.
I have an m1 mac mini.
I have had this problem twice, just now fixed it after I deleted my wtf and interface folders. I went to the sound settings and selected a different audio device. Only “nosound driver” was available. Selecting that returned all my sound options. The “nosound driver” was replaced with all my audio devices.
I have the same problem on the M1 Mac mini, updating to Monterey 12.5.1 only fixes it until you restart the pc, now the sound is gone again and no way to get it back.
