What’s more entitled than what you’ve said so far? You don’t want people to have the ability to feel represented in the game, a change that would have no effect on you whatsoever, because it doesn’t sufficiently meet your barrier for entry to what is not political

I full support these types of representation, if blizzard can then they should absolutely add more ways for people to enjoy the game

This is at least an argument, but a tenuous one at best.
The ZG one for example, where female gnomes can run under the block whereas everyone else has to jump on it, it saves like 0.5 seconds of time, which is something, but in my opinion not enough to reduce the ways in which people can enjoy the game, especially when blizzard has already made MUCH bigger changes to classic that didn’t help anyone in real life
so because people dont share the same view as you, then they’re narrow minded??
regarding your character, then you’ve made the choice.
stick to it or make a new character, what the majority does.

When 1 option is added freedom to make a section of people happier without any effect on others
And the other option is to deny this freedom to them for no objective reason

you knew what you got into before the game launched, should have made better choices then, instead of coming here, close to a year later crying about how YOU want the game to be.
so you want a sex change on your char because you made a bad choice, lets say you get it. what’s next then, instant teleport services to dungeons because you cant play as much as others, and thus is limited compared to them??

No, one has an objective value to the player in real life whilst also having no effect on the actual gameplay of the game, the other is changing gameplay entirely. Its a complete false equivalency
sounds like you need to learn how to seperate RL and games, and dont get them mixed up.

There is one thing, how about you pick the right appearance when you create your character, instead of needing to change it.

As some1 who needs immersion also to play I can tell you that what you ask is really useless. You can choose whatever gender/race you want at the creation page and you are not forced by society to play the gender associated with you in real life.

To everyone saying you can just choose your gender at the start screen:
You don’t seem to understand that people can transition from one gender to another in real life, during or after this transition (a massive and difficult event in that person’s life) it could feel odd or even wrong to play this mis-gendered character from their past, they could re-roll but they don’t want to lose all of their collectables and mounts etc
And what about your race, do you want to change that too?
If it’s so much of an issue then I can guess it’s no big deal to have a minor pay wall behind it. It’s the same for server changes, if the need to change is so severe then the pay wall becomes a non issue.
It surely it’s nice for us (players) to have it free but I can’t see it being a must.
With no disrespect to the LGBTQ+ community, there are far more important changes and fixes this game needs, not to mention IRL etc. as well.
Remember, We play with various people all day, why is there a need to re-affirm your identity, even ingame. You’re a character and a voice, I have no intention of ever meeting you irl or any guildies for that matter. So why try force your identity on us ingame? Keep it to yourself and IRL contacts, and you will live a much better life. Rather than trying to get sympathy in a fantasy game… most likely 95% of female characters ingame are guys IRL. This is the internet, and you’re intentionally provoking people with your views. Have respect for others as well.
It’s a two way street, so keep ingame and IRL seperate please.

That’s not respectful of anyone’s choice but your own, just because you say ‘with no disrespect’ doesn’t mean you’re not being disrespectful.
The change would have no affect on players that don’t want to use it, it isn’t an gameplay change in any way and would only serve to potentially make certain marginalized people’s lives better.
It feels like this whole thread is just bigoted transphobes doing back flips trying to justify denying a group of people a feature because they personally won’t use it, instead of just being honest and saying they don’t want to make lives easier for trans and non binary people
