It will harm no one, potentially help players, it will have no affect on people that don’t care about it.
Adding a barber shop to Classic would hurt no one. People still don’t want it because it wasn’t a thing in vanilla. It’s the exact same thing with this.
Like I said you could just make the client facing service free, you don’t need to add the barber shop

It doesn’t change the fact you’re adding things that weren’t there in vanilla. Why not add a race change as well while you’re at it? Race, gender, and other character changes (even just the cosmetic ones) were impossible to do in vanilla so they should remain impossible to do in Classic.

Because races have different racial which could effect gameplay, this literally does nothing to the gameplay.
More changes have been made to the actual gameplay by Blizzard to classic than this, why not at this point?

Yes it does. Male and female models are different which affects how well they can access certain areas. It’s especially noticable with Night Elves, Humans and Orcs. In fact it’s a much bigger effect on gameplay than just cosmetic ones like changing hairstyles.

Not really. You’ve just arbitrarily declared it to be a small enough effect on gameplay to not matter. It’s a bigger change than just being able to change your hairstyle yet people are opposed to even that. Why would you think this would be acceptable?
Because most of the issues it causes are bug abuses anyway, it’s hardly even the real game at that point.
There isnt anything keeping your character from beeing transgender or non-binary in the game at the moment. As far as I know, beeing trans and non-binary IRL doesnt change your biological gender from day to day on demand.
Nobody can chose the body they are born in. However we CAN chose the character we create. Trans or not, the choice is in our hands.

You can call them “bug abuses” all you like but things like WSG jumps are just part of the game. The really agregious ones have been fixed the rest are here to stay. So yes having an advantage in jumps or fitting into small ares is part of gameplay. No matter how you spin it it’s still a much larger effect than just cosmetic changes since your gender actually effects something while your facial hair doesn’t. If one isn’t acceptable to people because it wasn’t part of actual vanilla why would you think the other one that actually can have an effect on gameplay would be acceptable?
EDIT: Also another thing your gender has an effect on is your melee range. Since male models are typically bigger they also have a larger melee range.

I have to ask again: on one side we have the ability to change how your character looks like. This has no effect on anything other than your character’s look. People don’t want this since it wasn’t part of vanilla. On the other we have the ability to change your model which has an effect on which areas you can access and your melee range. Why would you think people would be okay with the second one if you know they aren’t okay with the first one?
