Im a very casual player as such tf/wf doesnāt affect me, infact it only affects me in a good way when I realise my gear piece has been upgraded. I have to agree with you it shouldnāt be like this. Im all for casual content and casual welfare gear with lots of passives and even a cookie cutter talent spec that allows us to get by. In saying this there should be lots of content and gear for you guys who enjoy a challenge and put effort in. Iād be up for supporting the idea of having wf/tf an extra boon to gear that drops from Mythic raids and say Mythic +10 upwards.
At this point Iām fairly convinced that 90% of the time the 90% figure is used the most to try to support an argument by pleading to the tyranny of the majority.
WF and TF to a degree is fine if you ask meā¦ But to a degree there should be a certain limit or scaling system for it.
Its super demotivating when you see someone putting half the effort you do and get better upgrades, ofc its nice for the guy getting the TF luck but it sucks when it comes from a luck factor or 0 effort factor.
Some weeks ago i got a trinket from my 2100 rating pvp box, a guy from my guild wich was 1800 weekly box got the same trinket but higher ilvlā¦ good for him, but why should i then be forced to put effort into higher rating when someone casualy gets rewarded higher than me for less effort? that is super frustrating and demotivating.
Same thing happens in raid, ive seen guildies have higher WF/TF rings and armor compared to our mythic raiders, wich in my book shouldāt happendā¦
WF and TF can stay, but it should not surpase mythic raiders or high rating players. It devalues effort/gameplay
thereāre 2 things that would make TF/WF doable and thats:
limited upgrades - example - LFR gera cant go above 355 ilvl
Manual upgrades on top of it - let people have currency from content they do that will let them to upgrade their gear to match TF/WF.
then it would definately be fine. but even then, thereās no real reason for such system to exist, except to force people to play more so blizzard thickens their pockets.
Getting gear from Instanced content is all āgravyā to meā¦ if it happens to be āenhancedā in any way, itās a bonus.
When entitlement gets in the way, thatās when the problems start; if you play Instanced content repetitively - as some do - youāll get similar the gear youāre after at some point.
I really do wonder if Iām in a minority who really doesnāt care what I get, for more than a second after I see what Iāve been givenā¦? I need to start ālikingā doing Instanced content a lot more, if I want to get my game-Main any further geared than he is (AiL 354 FDK)ā¦ Iām in no major hurry - and have plenty else to do - that if I finish the Expansion at AiL 360, Iāll be happy.
Yes please, get rid. Not because Iām against them, you understand, Iām just sick to death of hearing about it. Everyone seems to be whinging about it incessantly, and itās getting on my nerves, frankly.
Maybe after itās gone people will actually notice some of the real problems in the game and address those, but I very much doubt itā¦
This was explained by Blizzard. Titanforging is to help keep content relevant to the 5% of the playerbase who are hardcore. As well as giving the other 95% a small chance to get 1 piece of gear which is really good.
Be honest. A casual player (most of the playerbase, lets be honest here) is unlikely to score more than 1 or 2 relevent pieces of titanforged gear which are relevant at the time anyway.
A hardcore player is and will always be way better geared then anyone else.
Titanforging is fine. It just has no place in tourist-mode lfr.
Titanforging would not be fine if you could not complete high-end content without it, but everything should be tuned around some base ilvl that you can loot without any random forging. I believe that is the case but I am currently not raiding so I couldnāt be sure.
2 people of the same skill level with the same amount of content done can have a polarizing difference in their equipment and performance thatās based on dice rolls.
And Iām 90% convinced that at least 90% of statistics quoted on these forums are an illusion.
More seriously, Iām becoming more and more convinced that on any divisive question, at least half of the players DONāT CARE that much, one way or the other.
