None-casual players thoughts - titanforging isnt fine

At this point im fairly convinced at least 90%+ of playerbase hates titanforging, and honestly I can understand why.

its sad, unfair and UN-rewarding when someone in LFR gets better gear than a mythic raider.

I very much despise this casino way of gearing. can we get a fix already?

How about us casuals get an opinion aswell?

Im a very casual player as such tf/wf doesnā€™t affect me, infact it only affects me in a good way when I realise my gear piece has been upgraded. I have to agree with you it shouldnā€™t be like this. Im all for casual content and casual welfare gear with lots of passives and even a cookie cutter talent spec that allows us to get by. In saying this there should be lots of content and gear for you guys who enjoy a challenge and put effort in. Iā€™d be up for supporting the idea of having wf/tf an extra boon to gear that drops from Mythic raids and say Mythic +10 upwards.

At this point Iā€™m fairly convinced that 90% of the time the 90% figure is used the most to try to support an argument by pleading to the tyranny of the majority.

Titanforging has zero negative impact for casual peeps like me, because itā€™s an UPGRADE and not a REQUIREMENT, as super elites seem to view it.

WF and TF to a degree is fine if you ask meā€¦ But to a degree there should be a certain limit or scaling system for it.

Its super demotivating when you see someone putting half the effort you do and get better upgrades, ofc its nice for the guy getting the TF luck but it sucks when it comes from a luck factor or 0 effort factor.

Some weeks ago i got a trinket from my 2100 rating pvp box, a guy from my guild wich was 1800 weekly box got the same trinket but higher ilvlā€¦ good for him, but why should i then be forced to put effort into higher rating when someone casualy gets rewarded higher than me for less effort? that is super frustrating and demotivating.

Same thing happens in raid, ive seen guildies have higher WF/TF rings and armor compared to our mythic raiders, wich in my book shouldā€™t happendā€¦

WF and TF can stay, but it should not surpase mythic raiders or high rating players. It devalues effort/gameplay

I like ur view, and to a degree i agree.

thereā€™re 2 things that would make TF/WF doable and thats:

  1. limited upgrades - example - LFR gera cant go above 355 ilvl
  2. Manual upgrades on top of it - let people have currency from content they do that will let them to upgrade their gear to match TF/WF.

then it would definately be fine. but even then, thereā€™s no real reason for such system to exist, except to force people to play more so blizzard thickens their pockets.

Getting gear from Instanced content is all ā€˜gravyā€™ to meā€¦ if it happens to be ā€˜enhancedā€™ in any way, itā€™s a bonus.

When entitlement gets in the way, thatā€™s when the problems start; if you play Instanced content repetitively - as some do - youā€™ll get similar the gear youā€™re after at some point.

I really do wonder if Iā€™m in a minority who really doesnā€™t care what I get, for more than a second after I see what Iā€™ve been givenā€¦? I need to start ā€˜likingā€™ doing Instanced content a lot more, if I want to get my game-Main any further geared than he is (AiL 354 FDK)ā€¦ Iā€™m in no major hurry - and have plenty else to do - that if I finish the Expansion at AiL 360, Iā€™ll be happy.

Yes please, get rid. Not because Iā€™m against them, you understand, Iā€™m just sick to death of hearing about it. Everyone seems to be whinging about it incessantly, and itā€™s getting on my nerves, frankly.

Maybe after itā€™s gone people will actually notice some of the real problems in the game and address those, but I very much doubt itā€¦

A completely messed up gear progression system is a pretty ā€œreal problemā€ especially if we are talking about an RPG.

What do you think are the real problems? Not being able to fly? Reputation grind? Time-gating? The failure of Warmode?

TItanforging is awesome and yes Im vanilla player. Ive been casual player since burning crusade so titanforging is welcome change.

This was explained by Blizzard. Titanforging is to help keep content relevant to the 5% of the playerbase who are hardcore. As well as giving the other 95% a small chance to get 1 piece of gear which is really good.
Be honest. A casual player (most of the playerbase, lets be honest here) is unlikely to score more than 1 or 2 relevent pieces of titanforged gear which are relevant at the time anyway.
A hardcore player is and will always be way better geared then anyone else.

Thereā€™s already an active thread on this subject. Thread isnā€™t needed.

But your bads.

Sorry.

Titanforging is fine. It just has no place in tourist-mode lfr.
Titanforging would not be fine if you could not complete high-end content without it, but everything should be tuned around some base ilvl that you can loot without any random forging. I believe that is the case but I am currently not raiding so I couldnā€™t be sure.

Bit theatrical, but whatever.

No, those are clichƩ, too. I prefer to send in-game bug reports and suggestions, not hang around the forums repeating what everyone else is posting.

Itā€™s not even about LFR anymore.

2 people of the same skill level with the same amount of content done can have a polarizing difference in their equipment and performance thatā€™s based on dice rolls.

Get me out of this game.

And Iā€™m 90% convinced that at least 90% of statistics quoted on these forums are an illusion.

More seriously, Iā€™m becoming more and more convinced that on any divisive question, at least half of the players DONā€™T CARE that much, one way or the other.

An LFR player doesnā€™t get better gear than a raider.
