Hell, ever since I finally dropped Invincible, it’s the only mount I use besides the occasional Traveler’s Mammoth to repair gear and sell junk.
The transmog I have now is pretty much my “permanent transmog” until the day I either complete the mythic Sanctum of Domination set or an actually cool mail set comes out.
Are you telling me, that you are trusting someone on YouTube just because they have a channel and we all know that no one knows official numbers of subscriptions?
Are you aware that those YouTubers are going to do anything just to get views?
Are you aware that this post has been created at least thousand times 3 expansions earlier?
Realms are equally populated as they were during Wrath of Lich King but you have to keep in mind that during some expansion, I think it was Mists of Pandaria, they increased cap on servers.
As far as I can tell, there was average of 6.5 milion players active for July month. That is from unofficial source which does not claim how much of players are subscribed and I think 6.5 milion is great number for activity.
Not sure what lawsuit has to do anything with players or subs. Yeah, I know there are those weak snowflakes that get offended by people that do something that they disagree with and then they decide that is far more worth to leave a game that they apparently like just because someone that is not in close relation to them, did something they dislike.
Stopped reading as soon as i saw " Asmongold". Not a fan of streamers at all, but that guy is a plague. Sadly treaten as a deity by some, because, yeah, making up your own mind requires…well…erm…thinking.
The fact that Bell and Asmong assume its only 2million for EU and US shows how wrong they are . Chine/Asia is at about 2millions subs alone so WoW world wide has more likely 4 million + active subs .
(Posting this here after checking with a mod. EDIT: Identifying info has been intentionally left out of this post, but I have proof of identity and can verify with a mod.)
I worked at Blizzard for three years over a decade ago, first as QA and then as a designer. I worked directly on Team 2 (WoW) under people mentioned by name in the lawsuit. While my treatment was not nearly as horrific as what many other people have already shared, I was a victim too. I was made to think we were the best in the world, and then that was turned against me to tear me down. My work started to falter under impossible deadlines and abusive treatment by management. Nobody ever laid a hand on me or yelled at me, but I had a complete nervous breakdown and quit rather than face the possibility of being judged and fired.
My time there left me traumatized, and for years I blamed myself, thinking I failed because of weakness. This year’s events have helped me finally accept that I was exploited and abused by Blizzard management, and that I’m not alone.Asmongold, you’ve given me validation that I needed for years. Your coverage has been brutal and uncompromising, and it should be. You’re not afraid to be rude when it comes to calling out excuses and lies that protect predators. I was a victim who couldn’t stand up for myself, and I thank you for standing up for me.
I’m willing to talk to you and be interviewed in any way you’d like, on or off stream. I’m ready to share my experience, and I’m not afraid of retaliation anymore. In addition, I have a lot of Blizzard stuff that I don’t know what to do with now, collector’s edition stuff and some dev items. Let me know if you would be interested in receiving any of it, whether for yourself or to be auctioned for charity.
Please let me know. Thank you again. Keep fighting."
You are fighting a pointless battle because any view that does match that posters is to them irrvelent and you are a shill if you do not back them up its how they do things .
They keep parroting this “less than 2 million Subs” rubbish.
“Less than 2 million subs eh?, Says Who?”
“Uh-uh, a streamer said it, and the always have access to the -facts-, they’re never wrong”
“And where, pray tell, do thy get -their- facts from?”
“Uh, another Streamer did a funnier stream saying those facts, and the numbers don’t lie!”
“And where did they get theirs from?”
“Uh, Third party websites”
“You mean the ones that make the disclaimer that their numbers are not accurate, but are estimates, right?”
It’s pretty cult-like behaviour at this point, certain posters simply -have- to make a thread every week or so repeating these false numbers, and they get so cross when people don’t believe in what their streamer friends say, that they usually end up having a little sit on the naughty step after losing their cool…
im not sure what game u play or which game u talking about
but we speak about wow and of which data is currently availble since blizz dont release the numbers i think people not liking a game is a cult its kinda grasping into nothing, blaming a streamer its just the same. u have a company that doesnt like player feedback, and when they get it they dont listen to it, asmongold shares just the common views about the game as a average player
This is such an awful comment. Even MNEs’ budgets are, eventually, estimations. What’s important is how this estimation is made.
We can ignore everything from Bellular’s video and solely focus on the “Active users that hit lvl 60 and choose a covenant” number, which is a data gathered from character APIs.
An estimation about active users couldn’t be more reliable than this. In fact, it probably over-estimates the actual numbers as 1 person can have 5 toons at lvl 60 with covenant choosen. You obviously didn’t even watch the video.
You cant though as Asia’s numbers are on a different API and counted deffirently yet still are wow so wow is no were near 2 million its way above that .
So the numbers Bell and Asmong say are a lie .
We are not playing with them though? Also, i would never take Asia into account anyway. Even some random mobile games have millions of active users there.
Eh, not really. Why would i count people that are literally not in my game as active users? That is weird. It’s like including expense your company would not bear into the budget.
