It is not about it not getting on the healer. The healer often even has conduits with bonus heal for himself. It is about not getting the dot on the same player back and forth.
To be fair i Had 2 keys (15/16) depelyed this week by 4 people all above 2500 rating and all above 270 itlv so … Ye. Its really random i was like "are you doing IT on purpose ? " Its super late in season and if you are not 270 at this point IT means you are not playing the game at all
You know what, actually reading peoples replies (the ones that make sense at least), i kind of get your point.
And it does make sense, i mean im not an idiot, maybe im kinda disapointed on how things work and im lacking motivation because of the meaningless rewards we get from pushing higher keys.
And also there is another factor, that knowing you are a good player (not the best one ofc) and still getting denied over a imaginary score kinda gets you frustrated and ended up hating the world for it.
I would like to thank everybody for the feedback you gave me, maybe i was just a bit upset instead of doing better and showing more motivation to push myself.
It becomes a problem if you bounce it to the same player several times before it runs out, no matter who it is.
exactly, most of the healers deaths is after they already had the dot (debuff) and when bombs come and we go up the dot jumps on him again killing him with all the rest of the bomb dmg and fall dmg.
this is usualy a ranged player that stays at range as melee can bounce it easier, even i as a tank move in meele to get or drop it accordingly
Well, I certainly hope you’re in melee when you’re tanking
I am not so sure why this is specific for healers. Dps are also in very danger when it happens. And it is not ideal for tanks either.
Usually it’s melee players for me that bounce it to the same people constantly. I’ve specifically have had to grab it and go out to the ranged players to drop it off there because the melee people are going to kill us otherwise, several times.
I don’t know the context. I noticed though, that if I only take people with the m+ score, that is intended for the dungeon, I never run into a problem, or just extremely rarely. The runs, I host, that fail, happen usually, when I invite people who have 270+ gear, but are below the indended rating. So, if you never invite people below 2500 for a +15, even if they have 277 ilvl gear, you will very rarely fail keys. I also invited people with 260 ilvl and 2k rating in the past for +15, bc I thought I was also in that position, but they were always the toxic people in the group, who left, when the healer couldn’t keep up with all the damage, that they failed to mitigate.
I’m serious: Ironically, people who are responsible for a bad run, tend to be the ones, hat complain the most, and leave right away out of shame, whereas pumpers just sit silent all run, and say nothing without leaving. (In my personal experience)
3k BM here says you’re wrong
I know what you’re saying, played frost mage in 8.3, so I know the pain, but apparently there are other specs that can also play the game
Shame not all know this fact lol
Some people are so stubborn about rating means all that they can’t perceive a reality where competition isn’t “everything”.
The game is competitive to the ultimate degree so do create groups yourself and be above that fact or run transmog dungeons like the systems intend you to do.
Im bit bigger than 10 am i certified for it?
im sure that pressing rain of fire om cd is hard and required many years of practise.
its almost on the level of hunters pressing bomb and winning
you take that back
You can’t risk it.It is not worth it to go back to 14 and push to 15 for Vault.
it is only fine when i have done the 8 keys for week. Then i do not mind at all what will happen.
Yep - happened a few times to me over the past day. God forbid I don’t play a melee Hunter because it’s now FOTM…
well what would you in your opinion have people judge your skill off of? this is the result of any ranked content in any game. if the result of picking the wrong people is that you downgrade your gear or drop a bunch of rating, you bet people are going to find ways to vet the people they invite to increase the likelyhood of success.
this “score” is not a 100% accurate representation of your skill, but the group leader seeing a person signing up for a theoretical +18 halls and seeing that a person has only timed it on +14 is of course going to discourage him from inviting that guy, no matter how much “trust me bro” reassurance he gets.
Not everyone has friends or a big guild two person guild here and only friend is my hubby. But then again i dont do mythics
Other wise good advice
When you decide to play a DPS which is a crowded role and compete with people arguably higher rio score AND gear score why would people accept you?
You could be better than the higher io/ilvl person but the key holder has 0 way to know that so why gamble on a lower geared/score person just because they say so?
It’s not hard to understand why you get denied, there is no flaw with RIO, it’s the community that creates this environment. Rio is just a way to show others what someone could be capable off, and again, you’re competing with people who simply have more to show for themselves than you do.
As much as you like to not hear it, the only way for you as someone who doesn’t have enough time and can’t get in keys is to create your own group.
You can dislike that completely and simply think it shouldn’t be that way but reality is, it is that way and will always be that way because that’s what a competitive environment creates.
Find friends to play with or create your own groups and push your own keys is the only real solution to your problem. If you can’t or don’t want to do either for whatever reason you seem fit you can also choose to not do dungeons anymore.
You also point out you have experience in older content, but that really doesn’t have any value.
Just because you knew how to jump over a rope doesn’t mean you know how to shoot a gun.
Different dungeons have different mechanics.
I am sorry but reading through your post, I have feeling that you just don’t enjoy basic principles of generic ( therefore pug) M+ system. Why going there then? I am sure that there might be other areas where you can find fun in the game.
