Not getting loot is turning me away from wow

This is a fine attitude to life.

Dream jobs, dream houses, dream cars, dream families; all of these need time and effort, but can be totally worth it once obtained.

WoW however…

WoW should be a fun use of our free time, not a job, not a commitment, not a burden, not a year-long slog to get through to achieve your dream of being ‘geared up’. You shouldn’t have to grit your teeth and knuckle down for another day’s tedious grind with 1% chance of a micro-reward.

If you can’t login to WoW and know in advance that today will most likely be fun, then absolutely DO give up. Run and don’t look back. Get away from this ridiculous thing that drains your time, prevents you from doing anything actually important, and adds to nothing of value to your life.

Don’t for one moment confuse WoW with something that is worth fighting for. It is not. If it treats you poorly, discard it until it learns the error of its ways.

edit because I’m pretty sure I know what reply is coming And no, I’m not saying that the game should give you free stuff. I’m saying that the process of getting stuff should itself be fun enough to be worth doing. Problem is it’s currently not. You shouldn’t have to earn your fun in a game. Every step of it should be fun, otherwise why on earth are you wasting your time on it?

Theres nothing you can do my friend. Its all about money and us not having the freedom anymore or somewhat control of what items we want to get. Basically, you dont get anything useful for a month, you need to buy a subscription to continue the farm. All about money, why you think they took out gear vendors, conquest points, valor, justice? And also warmode, has it been proven it increases your chance of getting something at all, in comparison with warmode off?

That’s assuming i have friends to do stuff with in wow, which i don’t really. That also assumes that i have a raiding guild that isn’t so tight-knit that its nigh on impossible to get into. I have experienced it quite a few times now, i join a new raiding or whatever guild and the people in it are so buddy-buddy that no matter what i do i feel like an outsider for months and eventually lose the will to play with them since they don’t let me in (for example silences whenever you say something or completely ignoring whatever you say.) i tried to get people in guilds to do a mythic+, but guess what? Nobody ever EVEN REPLIES.

I’m sick and tired of the wretched damn rng blizzard is putting in their games, ITS NOT FUN. Getting pants for WEEKS IS NOT FUN.

NEVER GETTING LOOT from mythic+ is NOT FUN. People seem to be not understanding the point. They QQ that people want gear for free on a silver platter, thats not what i’m asking for.

What i want is a RELIABLE WAY to gear up. For example, wrath did this really well. You could do dungeons and raid to get tokens. Those tokens you could spend on items if you for example WERE UNLUCKY. The lack of any way to Reliably get gear is pushing me away from wow. Mythic+ Rarely if ever gives useful loot, warfronts are nice and all for item grinds but good luck getting a second dagger or getting past 340 ilvl. World quests are damn pointless with Garbage waste of time rewards and emissaries giving azerite gear is incredibly pointless.

I absolutely dispise the heart of azeroth garbage. As opposed to artifact weaponry i feel like the whole “champions of azeroth” and the useless necklace are just not worth the time and effort. No joke, but i got a necklace from one of the anniversary bosses and it was higher ilvl than my heart of azeroth so i took the “artifact” necklace off. The progress on this faction feels nonexistant, there’s no “good feeling” or talent or skill or whatever you get from upgrading it. It feels Bad, it feels boring…hence why i’m not doing it. “Oh this world quest gives a thousand azerite…oh…that’s only a quarter of a bar…fun world quest guys, really engaging.”

At this point for the first time in like 14 years i wonder if this wow we have now is even worth playing anymore…since the devs don’t seem to regard it as such in my view.

You can get gear from warfronts, that is 370 and you can get into groups under level 390, I have on my horde alt and that alt is only 352. So either you are just trolling or just want some attention.

Judging by the way you are completely disregarding any truth but your own and are oblivious to facts…you either must be very narrowminded or trolling, maybe both.

Warfronts give 370 ONCE a rotation with the quest, after that it’s 340 all the way. Now do your damn homework for a change.

next time before being this toxic towards another person that is clearly asking for help because he is not having fun anymore, just think, think, and then think again.

Disgusting attitude.

…Do i even need to say more?

Bye.

It took me three days to get to 360 ilevel on this DK. Of course, i was tanking. But getting to 350 ilevel took literally one and a half day.

When you can do the warfront event, you get 1 piece of loot after every game. This doesnt help you anymore, but still good advice for an alt you might make.

Rogues are very attractive in M+ and is often picked even with lower RIO score. You should try to educate yourself with the dungeons on a deeper level on what THE MOBS DO AND WHAT THE BOSSES DO. When you’ve learnt that, times the damage and health by 100%, then you’re on a 11 key, imagine this.

With 349 ilevel you should start with a keylevel of max 5.

I wouldn’t call 6 bosses a hyperbole lol. The OP is implying that under current circumstances. For example, I first cleared heroic in a 355-357 group but no one accepts me now on any of my alts that are within that range.

Leading a group requires experience in content. If OP is yet to get that experience he/she is unable to lead a group. The only real option is joining a guild.

Join a guild, I too was in your position just 2 months ago I couldn’t get into m+ groups and raids and was stuck below ilvl 350 now I have 373 gear with heroic ghuun kill, just join a friendly guild and they will help you.

Thats the definition of hyperbole. “It’s impossible to get into a raid!!!”. /Checks and hes done what he complained he can’t get into. L2english or something.

seems pretty obvious to me that OP is trolling, he has not even a single honored rep, has never done a single champions of azeroth WQ, and yet is whining for not getting loot, and not being able to progress, despite having 3 pieces above 365 ilvl and several 350+.
basically he has barely done any content (lvl 23 neck, no reps, no WQs, not even completed the basic storyline quests probably), and yet is decked in gear with the same ilvl of normal/hc uldir and complains for the lack of loot.

I suppose as with any post, there’s bound to be trolls like you.
People like you don’t seem to get it. Because the whole heart of azeroth is so damn boring, i’m not putting effort into it. It’s just not rewarding and doesn’t feel satisfying to level up. And with the message from blizzard that its like artifact weapons in level of power you get for it increasing per week.

Judging a problem of design by judging someone on gear seems like a fallacy.
I have completed the storyline, but thats where the fun gameplay ends and progression dies. Maybe you got very lucky, and by your elitist attitude i can see you did, but not everyone does. After having swapped classes multiple times, i was unlucky nearly every time i tried a world boss for example.

Gear or no gear, not Getting gear feels bad…and the lack of R E L I A B L E progression makes doing any world quest pointless (since they don’t give useful items at all) reps don’t give useful things at all either and the grind for those factions are ENDLESS and insanely dull. It’s blizzard’s problem to fix the insane amount of RNG related to loot.

Not everyone WANTS to lead groups, playing this game is supposed to be fun. If you want a masochistic experience, go to another game or disappear into classic.

It’s worth running through Mythic 0 dungeons as well. The gear seems to warforge/titanforge more often. We were doing the achievements in a guild group and were surprised how much 360 gear dropped for us. Sadly none of us needed any of it but it did become a nice batch of crystals for the guild bank instead.

To be honest, at this point i’ve lost the will to play anymore. Hoping for things to titanforge just Feels bad. First you need to be lucky enough for loot at all, then lucky enough for it to be the right slot, then it has to warforge, then it even has to titanforge…it’s just and endless stream of unfun RNG…and without a way to reliably gear up (like with tokens and stuff) i just don’t see a reason to try and gear up. Getting nothing Feels bad when you know it COULD be a titanforged item. Its worse than it used to be since in the past you could target gear, or buy gear with badges of whatever.

I don’t Feel like i’m getting any more powerful. BFA has one theme that feels consistant: “Underpowered”. I feel weak and powerless. This is no fun.

Maybe you should try some game on your phone instead?

Maybe you should find another place to spew your bile? With your trollish ways?
I’m not interested in phone games. All you’re doing is coming into people’s threads, troll and go to the next thread to repeat the proces?

Oh you were serious? sorry I thought you were just trolling as well. There is so much gear left and right thrown at players in WoW these days you must try real hard not to get any epics. imo there is like 3 times too much gear dropping everywhere. You don’t even have to play the game to get it anymore pretty much. Do one Mythic+ every week and wait for weekly Chest and you are good when it comes to gear.

You really won’t like Classic WoW when it comes out because there is less than 1/10th gear drop of what you get in BFA.

Maybe you need a little break. Come back for 8.1. It’s not far away and you might feel refreshed and want to do some of the things to get gear
