Hello. It might be another topic about this error/bug but haven’t seen correct answer or how to fix it. The problem is when i click “play” in battle.net game isn’t launching. I can see this one open in task manager, but game doesn’t pop up. I have tried to open this one as admin, still not working. Wrath of the Lich King version opens after literally one second so the problem is with retail version. Everything’s updated, even tried
" * Tick the option Additional command line arguments
- Enter -d3d11 then select Done to save this"
and didn’t fix the problem. Please help.

I have the same issue 
Tried to repair the game etc. but nothing helps.
It was working just fine last night, it only started this morning after pre-patch phase 2.
I pressed play and left for about 30min and when I came back the game finally was open. I closed it again and now it launches like normal.

It had nothing to do with maintenance. The servers have been up for hours.
I have the same issue, worked fine last night, it takes like 10mins to start game after i press play.
Same here. I don’t even see the WoW process in the task manager.

same here, i just start my pc, download a small update on wow and then press play and nothing happen.
Don’t do nothing, just wait it will takes several minutes. It can be even 20 min or so but eventually game will starts. Next loggings should be as before. Your game should open straight away as usual.
I exited bnet and reopened, then it took like 30 secs before game started. After that it’s instant. After the prepatch it has been like 10 secs to first start.
It started after several minutes while I was reading this thread…
Same issue, MacOS 12.6
Wrath Classic runs just fine, retail crashes/hangs.
Bumped for same issue. WoTLK Starts and plays just find but clicking play does nothing to retail. Ignoring the Bnet launcher and going straight to the .exe and running it as admin did not help either (It has been YEARS since last I had to do that to make WoW launch when I had issues like this but yeah… Did sweet FA Now(
Just gonna add with the same issue, but it was the same deal after first pre-patch if i remember correctly now. Beta have no issue launching, only retail
Decided to click “play” and then i went out for like 2hrs. After i came back there was Dragonflight start screen. I have no idea how much time it took to launch but i quit, then open battle.net once again and after i click “play” game starts in one second. Maybe that’s the key - patience.

MY patient lasted for maybe 3 seconds if I stretch it… Decided to uninstall and try and install it again. DL speed is changing from less than 1mbit to 10mbit.
Don’t do like I did, but it seems like a lot of ppl did.
