Now WoW doesn't start anymore

I had the issue and tried this method. Works.
Further information, wow.exe will be inside:
retail folder

Dont start for me too…

Try this. Seems to work.

  1. Open Bnet but dont launch wow
  2. Go to the Wow installation folder > retail_ > double click wow.exe (it wont load)
  3. Then go back 1 folder to the World of Warcraft root folder and click World of Warcraft Launcher. It will open.
  4. Quit game and launch from the Bnet app

Seems to have worked for both my wife and I

Scan and repair works. It shouldn’t be required but it works…

Disabling IPv6 resolved my issue immediately.

scan and repair fixed it for me

same issue.

Scan and Repair fixed it, but if you launch it and wait, it will also open. Should be some sort of connection issue to the server. Mine fixed itself from the repair, my dad’s opened the game after 5-10 minutes of just waiting.

I had this issue this morning - 8th July, despite playing lastly the day before.
Nothing would work. Scanning or updating. Game launch would not happen, it appeared to hang.
Left it for a while, and the update it was pending to download eventually started to download. This happened around 9am UK time this morning when it started to work.
There were no error messages or clues to help troubleshooting.
This was on an M2 Mac Mini.

Now I have problem with launching

Can confirm that repairing works. It takes a while, but it works.

Idk what they broke, but they broke something. Indie company, pls understand.

Used the scan and repair button, I don’t know what happened but now I have to download 106 gigs…

Scan and Repair worked for me as well.
Took a while though and it did download some stuff.

Damn…

I thought it was just me. I was hoping to get an hour in before work - but after fiddling with a few things nothing much worked. I’ll have to do as Sinanji mentioned when I get home tonight. Or likely tomorrow after “maintenance day”

There goes my plans for the day…

Same issue

Same issue here, with some googling around, seems like this already happened on classic a few times, so not a “new” issue per say but something they can’t find a way to fix for good

Scan and repair worked for me. Took a while to scan. Had to reboot machine in order to have the scan and repair available.

Excellent work as always.
Thank you Microsoft.

its the sama for me
