Doing the scan & repair resolved the problem for me. Prior to that, the client was taking around 5 minutes to finally load.

Utter rubbish. Pservers have better server stabilty than blizzard :S

Hi there. Hope this helps. It was the same for me, so instead of starting the game through battle.net i went into the ‘retail’ folder and right clicked on the ‘wow’ icon’ and pressed ‘run as administrator’. I haven’t tested it for the other versions of the game.

Scan & Repair got stuck on 0% for me. Cancelled it, hit ‘play,’ and the game launched 15 minutes later whilst I was reading this thread. dx11 didn’t change anything.
I appear to be able to launch instantly now.

I had the same issue as everyone else.
Mine was fixed by :
- Open Battle.net but do NOT start the game.
- Next open wow directly from the retail folder, now it should open the game without log in information, close wow.
- Now you can start from battle.net directly and it enters log in information and opens normally.
Hope this works for someone else.

If you have tried scan and repair, it wont work if you have tried to start the game.
Restart the computer and then choose scan and repair without trying to enter the game.
That should work.
You don’t need to restart PC. Just close all instances of WoW in Task Manager (there will be one for each time the user has clicked Play). Then click Scan and Repair. This worked for me.
God I was worried it was me but somewhat relieved seeing this thread! Scanning and repairing now.
Edit: Took about ten minutes to complete the scan but can now confirm it opens instantly again! I should say for reference for anyone looking at this thread that upon logging in this morning, I was asked to log back into the launcher which is very rare for me.
Same problem here - I can see many instances of wow running in task menager. Trying things that people posted here. Lets hope it works.

Same here , game does not start via the launcher. But it did after a few minutes !
I’m just system restore on my pc which is only a few month old wtf is goin on with wow lately getting stuck in coreway delves not there
Also had that issue which scan&repair worked for me.
Curiously though, he just made a scan and thats it. Didnt download anything.

Me too. Very new fast system as well. I have run the repair function, and does now launch. Just tried launching twice as well to make sure it works twice. Seems ok.
Same issue here. I did a scan & repair and it solved everything. I closed the game, shut the computer off. Came back to play—Problem is back.

Scan and repair is grey. How can I fix that? Wow ain’t starting when I’m clicking on the play button.
