I’m wondering if this AH “feature” will be in Dragonflights/WotLK?
I think the whole auction house update was all for dragonflight because of this new crafting system where you can do jobs for other people.
Should’ve added it in the pre patch and not let us deal with this for so long.
I know there are bugs I’ve seen but 99% of the price drops are caused by players constantly undercutting.
I just checked my enchants and 2 different players have undercut me and then each other by 1 silver.
I’d people stopped undercutting the prices wouldn’t be dropping as low.
For my enchants though I just did the maths and I am still earning roughly the same % increase as I was pre new ah with the mats dropping in price.
I’ve picked up some pretty cheap mats, and I’ve sold stuff fine, but instead of only having one or two bait sellers at low prices per realm was easier, now there seem to be loads of them. And ofc they are trying to grab all their cheap baited mats off the AH constantly which is causing all sorts of issues. These kinds of list things too low scam and catch people out sales have existed forever but it’s a nightmare when they can all do it at the same time.

Yes. Not that hard to understand is it? 
Just like they destroyed any real money making in classic xept GDKP.
What are bait sellers ? are they trying to lower a price, trick buyers ? It doesn’t make sense to me to put something for sale and take it away immediately.
I know ages ago bidders used to put a low bid and remove it if it didn’t increase sufficiently. Which was disappointing to a newish player with little cash back then. (Bit like the Black Market AH - never won a thing lol)
You aren’t familiar with the tactic? It’s a fairly old one.
They list something, say the current cloth from SL for some disgustingly low like 10s, then scoop up all the listings that appear at the same price constantly. They then relist all those scooped up cloth items at a much higher price and make profit purely from other people’s mistakes. They bait people into selling hugely under value and snag them before the victims can hit cancel auction.
There are now a multitude of these vultures in action at once because all materials are regionwide.
It is not against the rules to do this, they aren’t doing anything wrong.

It’s really good for buyers of mats atm.
Depends what you are crafting though as to its resell value. Seen lots of complaints from people who used to make gold from gathering and professions like Alchemy or Inscription.
If you’re just making for your own use it’s probably fantastic or levelling a prof.

well i luuse money on this AH thing i used to be avable turn 10 000 gold to 2 000 000 gold but thz to this new AH i cant nomore 
I said it already. To get easy money from realm transfer. There is no other reason than purely business one.

Agreed, I think I misunderstood what you said 
Blizzard’s general policy for the last few expacs has been to increase gold resources each expac as a way of ensuring players coming back to the game (or new) have sufficient gold. I’m not saying they have done this perfectly, but it has been the clear intention.
I make a few 100k each week not even touching the AH from my mission tables.
If you’re worried about income just setup a few mission table donkeys and you’ll never be low on gold.
Its nice being able to buy crafting mats at a resonable price.

Sure it’s a bit of work to grind the anima for unlocking the big mission table but it’s worth the effort.
not really if you make a fresh 60 atm you end up with a few thousand anima right away and with the correct settings on the addon it’s pretty much self sustaining.
The gold potential of mission tables usually gets a big nerf once the new expansion comes in, which is not long if they intend Dragonflight to come out in December.

This change is good imo! They are trying to move toward “no” server restriction for the future Ion said!
And that should solve the low pop server problems too!
The gold potential does not get big nerf, the gold mission are fully replaced with something else. 
Most likely SL gold missions will be replaced with anima, or maybe grateful offerings.
