Ok so warmode buffs for alliance

In a loot based game people are fussed because it’s an alley to get gear closed to half the population. Nobody is advocating for removal of alliance iLvl gear, but yes many gamers want that possibility for them too. That’s not hard to understand is it?

When the quest was introduced, a 370 item wasn’t really that amazing anymore as we were at the end of the first season. But, a 400 item on the day of the release of season 2 is incredibly amazing and can give you an early edge.

So your defense is that in a month or two the weekly quest gear reward won’t matter? How about the first 2 months then when Alliance gets 1 piece of 400 gear more than horde.
Let’s say you and I get the same amount of loot the first week on HC BoD, same item slots too. Since you’re alliance you get 1 extra piece of HC BoD loot which happens to be an upgrade in another slot (let’s 400 head). Then the next week when mythic opens up, both our guilds start to raid mythic at the same time. Before the raid begins you have the time to get 1 extra piece of 400 gear and you’re super lucky so you get an upgrade again for a non 400 slot.

So in this example we get the same amount of HC gear in the same slots (maybe legs, hands and chest) but you also got a 400 head and maybe a 400 weapon or belt or whatever. Is this fair when mythic opens up and people start to progress mythic? Sure mythic progression isn’t all about gear, but gear sure can help you out on progress. 20 alliance players with 2 extra 400 pieces will easily beat that dps check that a boss might have compared to 20 horde players who might struggle cuz they lack a few % dps.

It’s not the future that matters about the gear, it’s the present. Same goes for the 30% warmode buff. You simply get 20% more Artifact power than Horde which means you can unlock new rings faster than horde. The inner rings matter quite a bit when it comes to tanks. Gemhide/Impasive Visage or none of those traits make a difference when it comes to tanking gear.

It wont matter next week. With mythc+ uncapping anyone who cares about gearing will be fully decked in 400+ gear

It’s not a feeling lol. We are turned into quest mobs every Wednesday. Every Wednesday is exactly what I described and the rest of the week it’s back to normal.

You’ve heard of Taco Tuesday, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

No it’s about the sheer volume of Alliance flocking to WM to complete that quest and turn WM off again. It’s not organic pvp, it’s a non stop production line of five man parties.

But who cares. Blizzard certainly doesn’t and has patted itself on the back at this horrific creation. I despair.

Is that like ‘Two for Tuesday’ pizza?

I proposed my solution once. Keep the bonuses, remove the 25p quest, let all players horde and alliance use PvP talents in dung and raids and Jesus even a pussycat would turn it on to use PvP talents in M+… if they want WM active I believe giving us more power is the way.

Yeah but they want to drive Horde out of WM so it’s working as intended.

I’m lost  why would they do that?

I love this idea! :grinning:

  • The extra rewards were meant to encourage more Alliance to participate but also to make Horde who did not like PvP to turn it off.

No, do you have proof that the behaviour that you describe is determining how the buff works. Blizzard have never said how the buff works and they never will I suspect so people dont game it.

To increase the number of Alliance not decrease Horde. Where you complaining when Horde dominance was driving Alliance out. No.

You are on another planet. Nothing I’ve said is untrue.

Even when quoted what was said you won’t believe it. They want Horde to turn it off.

On another planet… me… I’m not the one going nuts here.

I missed your last post. They did however say - who dont want to PvP. We both know very, very few people are doing this for the PvP.

as I said I dont recall you being this ‘passionate’ when it was Alliance getting steam rolled.

I went and levelled as Alliance to see what it was like. I tried WM at max level to do WQ.

I also said the Alliance were around when WM first started. Which has now been confirmed.
That they started to turn off causing more to turn it off. I encouraged players to team up to fight back, like we do on the Horde.

I have sympathised with Alliance. I decided to turn WM off because I dont have that much time to dedicate to an alt and finding groups had become a nightmare to find.

But all most want to do is gloat that Blizz have created a ridiculous situation that means there is huge zone disruption and no organic pvp.

I think puny is right here, this is no longer WAR mode, it is PVE bonus mode.

Both sides were laughing and mocking the other when it was in their favour.

Both sides were interested in pve, and not PVP which was the intention of the WAR mode. You’d see horde purposefully ignoring alliance back then, while now alliance will ignore horde once their quest is done.

Warmode looked like a cool idea on paper, and I thought it would be cool because shards would balance it for us, but right now it’s either you outnumber them or they outnumber us, there isn’t many " happened upon an alliance player doing quests and is vulnerable, gank squads for the sake of pvp and regulated pvp groups " like it was supposed to be.

This 400 ilvl item is there to try and bring back the balance and push off horde players who are only interested in the pve bonus from warmode and not pvp.

But at the same time it just makes the alliance who are interested only in pve turn WM on, it’s a non solution and will bring only salt ( heavenly salt  )

I believe that if they did something as ridiculous as to double or even triple the honor gained rather than give free AP and loot no one would care, because it won’t affect the pve side, rather than pvp and when you look at the pvp side, there is nothing useful to do with all that extra honor and is mostly cosmetic rewards that aren’t worth it or will come naturally down the line for your average pvper.

Warmode was an awesome feature and looked insanely good on paper but the execution of it and how it was handled is an utter failure. I’m not mad thou :salt: supplies for my  and :sob: to drink are never ending aatm :stuck_out_tongue:
