To everyone not understanding the issue at hand: It's not about moving forward, about better textures, about not accepting change. It's about playing a character for 15 years and having real attachment to that character.
My wife is emotionally attached to her character, now she looks completly different. She'll basically never see her Character again.
To just blatantly remove it from the game without even a single line in the patch notes is a real dick move imho.
I don't mind because I like my new model and I change characters every x years.
But there's people out there that care and it's stupid to deny them their original looks because of some minor technical issue.

I cannot believe it. They changed everything, interface and whatever but to disable the old charater models is the topping on the cake. I am looking at my face and dont even know that is me !!! WTF !!!! How could you do that to us Blizz ?! I love my character, have been playing it for a decade now and you steal my face??? My identity ??? I am devastated ! You guys have to bring back the option for all the ppl who love their chararters so much !! I am playing this only because I love my "me" and now you are telling me I can never see ME again ????? Seriously guys....think twice..dont break million players hearts alright

I miss my gnome happy face, that´s why today is the first time in 12 years that I´ve made my helm visible.
The worst part is that during the beta for the newer character models, fem gnomes DID have happy faces.

Watch the avatars in this forum mate....today everyone of us is actually using the sad solution of the helm in visible.
It's ridiculous: they improved the face graphic....and we prefere cover it with old textures coming from old armor sets.
I wonder if it could be more usefull make a thread to formalize a petition.....

I'm the same. I vaguely remember what the old human models looked like, but I've already forgot everything else.
Seriously... some of those models had no facial features at all... or any personality.

Before new models I couldn’t play anything but humans, female nelfs and belfs without looking like a retard. Now I can play anything without looking like a retard. Except gnomes. Gnomes will always look retard.

As i continue to say...not all the new models are bad...BUT many of us dont like them when you are FORCED to change the face of your historical character ( expecially when in the new ones there are none that match the personality you give to your creation).
So far....still not a DAMNED BLUE that is taking care of just say us if this change is permanent or not also considering that it's not written in the patch notes.

I'm strongly offended by the removal and pruning of interface options the last few years. Options are there for a reason, to cater to as many peoples wishes and ways they want to play WoW. Continuously forcefeeding a single agenda down our throats, saying "eat it like it is or find your meal elsewhere" is a really terrible way to go around things.
Every time Blizzard decides one size fits all, 2 new addons are born. That they can't see that fact is beyond me.

I've been posting on a level 6 since 2014 because the replacement face does not represent either me or my character.
All female dwarves look the same now, same boring ugly face. I loved the older model as they were all unique.

They've been ignoring us for 4 years. Hundreds of threads, tens of thousands of posts, here and in the US. Never so much as a Blue response. The only thing new is that now you are the one suffering.
Old Models were actually removed in Legion. The option was there, but it was only new model with low poly. Then they removed their animations.
It was dead cause. I hope they are there in Classic.

That's why i REALLY demand myself if they deserve to be payd.
The MMORPG world is starting to be very big and many of them are also free to play....because i like the WoW community (my guild friends first of all) i'm continuing to give them 12 € any mounth but, hell, at least they should use some of those money to put a person able to read the forum community and answer to some basic question!
How about holding a little protest? All gnomes and others who want their old look back gather up somewhere for like an hour to protest, like a sit- down demonstration, not questing or anything for that hour. maybe we could see how many actually feel this way. Not like they notice our complaints anyway, l guess, but we might find comfort in each other, knowing we're not the only one feeling this way about it. And just maybe we would be many enough to be noticed?
