But then again all these races have several classes and fantasies tied to them. How can Blizzard hit the mark for each for us all to feel its a heritage armor for all?
They tried with the Warfront armor. Witch stayed faction/class based. But not unique to our race back then.
How do you make a heritage armor set. For Orcs for example. Who are very warrior based, And Shaman themed into one?
Humans who are very Paladin associated. And soldier based rolled into one? …(Also mages and priests too)
Draenei who are very paladin themed.
Undead who are are very warlock or Necro looking. For each class these different races play?
Warfront armor… if they made it class/race based, Over faction based back then could have been a solution. But to satesfy everybody… Boy would they have had to pump up their art team to make that a reality. Compared to now, Where they try to streamline everything into one.
I’m always up for more customization, not less. And I certainly think a lot of races still need some attention. But I don’t think they shouldn’t add a new race as that’s unrelated to their ability to do something for the old ones. And I’m more irked by the fact that they said during Shadowlands announcement Blizzcon that adding more customizations to all races would be ongoing throughout Shadowlands and beyond. Before later changing their minds and going “Lol, nah. That’s it. Only if new customizations make sense with what’s going on in the story at the time will we add more.”
Personally I am quite fine with them keeping the old races as they are.
It would have been quite nice if they had released the heritage armour sets for the remainder of the old races but the new race/class is part and parcel of the new expansion so I can’t begrudge Blizz putting the resources in there first and then coming back to the old races.
I can understand what you mean. I guess what they’re aiming for is something , that when you see it, it just cries out Night Elf or Orc etc. Most of the imagery from the game pretty much covers that already for example when I think of orcs Ill always imagine them in the thick red spiked shoulderpads, Night elves with the purple ornate scrolling armour and humans in the golden winged motif armour
Exactly… What I am saying is… Sometimes our Class fantasy don’t always fit the race fantasy. Even though we have great examples in game of each requirement meeting both.
But if you where Blizzard… and you tried to make an universal set to hit all marks?
You just couldn’t with heritage armor. Youd have to make seperate heritage set for that race’s class fantasy.
Since several of our in game races have different fitting class themes to match. As I saw it… Warfronts tried its best to match that.
Well, getting something would still be better than getting nothing. I mean, current events show that it’s impossibe to create anything meeting everybodies taste, but it’s better than doing nothing.
Heritage sets that don’t fit all class fantasies would still be an enrichment in contrast to the gaping void that now exists for those races.
It was the most pop cultural multiple personality quote I could think of, the implication being that anyone using an army of alts have very… diverse distribution of personality, to put it diplomatically.

your frustration is understandable. being an intellectual and brilliant thinker like you myself there are times when my thoughts and ideas get shot down by those who do not agree or grasp them. but do not get hostile and tell them what to do. it is better to just stick to your facts and knowledge
CoC states you have to reply things actually mattering to the original post, which you aren’t going. I’m already making a fault by keeping replying to you.
I wouldn’t put my accounts integrity at risk for something childish like this. My account and this game are one of the most important hings to me, and if harm would befall them, this would cause serious consequences.
My love for this game with its original lore is also the cause for my original post. Whoever doesn’t share this love can just remain silent and stick to other threads. There are enough of those.
