Old Rep Grinds for New Content

Who ever decided to lock the new races behind a rep grind honestly need their head examined and who ever it was who decided it should be rep for content no longer relevant needs to be fired in to the sun. :rage:

The only reason I even re-subbed before classic was the try out the new races and now I have to sit in high mountain grinding 42,000rep points 150-250 at a time just to get ONE of the races.

This is not meaningful content.

Rather pointless it you’ll abandon them in a week or so.

Highmountain and Void Elf were available in Legion because\ they used it as pre-purchase bait.

Dont worry enough proud worldquest/Lfr champ will come to defend and how you have to earn it x)

Whole rep grinds for allied races, flying and war campaign is a deaster.

repgrind in a previous expansion to unlcok something basic as a race? haha…
repgrind to unlock the mainquest that takes longer than to get 430+ ilvl on a fresh char and then go back to 1shot mobs tuned for 350ilvl from uldir patch? yikes

Cool, I wasn’t playing by the end of Legion.

they are really some of the easiest reps to get in the game.
we all grind rep for what we want.
Its not a big deal.

Started playing a few weeks into BFA and finally finished unlocking all the allied races on horde side last month.

Unlocking them when they are current content isn’t too bad since you kinda get the rep passively by just doing the story etc, but going back to legion and grinding it was the most annoying thing ever.

I doubt they will ever change the requirements to unlock them tho :expressionless:

I want to play the current content not grind out last years left overs. it’s not even the fact that it’s a REP grind it’s the fact that it’s in old zones with no rewards so all the time I’m spent there is time taken out of doing the actually expansion

You are aware even your basic title is incorrect, those reps were current when those races were released, those reps are with that exact faction whom you are building enough of a relationship with to join the horde/alliance.

Dislike rep grinds all you want, just don’t try to claim it’s new content gated on old reps, it’s no more new content being gated behind old rep than deciding you want the ICC rep ring for timewalking.

What is this irrelevant argument?
So , since i’ve been slacking at Legion and i’ve lost my chance to get the MT Appearance for my non existent DH , i shall demand it for free because of reasons.

NO.
If i wanted that thing , i should have been active that time and farm it like others.

You’ve been inactive for your own reason during Legion where it was easy / current content to farm the rep for the allied races so at least you have the chance to do it now.

We’ve all spent time to unlock these pre-requirements.
Now its your time to spend time and get them if you truly want to play that specific race.

End of story , simple af

Here’s the thing. When those races where released that content wasn’t that old. By your standards those races themselves are an old content because they were released in previous expansion.

Still they actully doubled the reputation you get for world quests for those specific factions so you can get them faster. And they will probably reduce those requirements in the next expansion.

Also some people complain that wow is only played patch by patch but whenever players have to play more than a current patch they complain.

They complain because the old content doesn’t relate to the current patch at all even after you’ve grinded for week you’re still going to have to level that bad boy to 120 and if you think this is anything other then padding don’t forget to buy another store mount on your way out.

What store mounts have to do with Allied Races? One is bought from the and the other is obtained by playing the game. They are completely different things. Also I have never bought anything from WoW ingame store.

I’m saying that if you think this is meaningful content you’re probably the kind of person dumb enough to buy a mount.

It depends how you define meaningful. Still it’s not the word I would use, fun is a better word to describe Legion content. I just started rep grind in Legion for the 8th time.

As for calling people that buy store mounts dumb, well that’s just dumb. There is nothing dumb in buying something you want if you can afford it. Every one spends some of their money on the things they don’t need just becasue they want to and they like it. I don’t buy store moutns because for the most part they are ugly and not worth the cost in my mind. Also I no longer go to collect mounts just for the sake of it. I have established set of mounts that already fit my characters.

I see, complaining about content that can’t be unlocked in the time span of a few minutes. I see.

Well sheeet bro if that’s the case let me know how it’s done I’ll delete the thread.

Wait until you get to BFA and you only get 75 to 85 xp for the reps there, you will think that 150 to 250 xp is a godsend.

I’ll wait.

Its not about “having to work” and “we had too” its about “why the hell do you need to do content from old expansion to unlock content from new expansion” …

They could have, without a slightest problem, made them unlockable by BFA reps, you have (as alliance) dark iron dwarves helping in stormsong during invasion, lightborn are purging in drustvar etc …

It makes absolutely zero sense, you want to play new stuff in BFA and you have to waste time in old content …

You have to laugh when someone complains about playing old content while they are waiting for the opportunity to play old content.
