no, majority prefers the current way, thatâs why retail has more players and thatâs why blizzard is going towards that direction rather than making everything painful again.
i respect your choice but you classic andies clearly donât respect ours. if you want the hardcore experience, itâs right there you can go and play it. retail is fine with having more numbers of active players and going to a more player friendly style.
People playing the old version of the game or old games in general doesnât mean that the newer games are â100% badâ. They are simply⌠different. Whenever you like and accept the new changes isâŚup to you.
People still play CS 1.6 and when asked whats âwrongâ with CS:GO⌠some will simply say that nothing is wrong but they simply the like the âold classic one betterâ.
WoW is no differentâŚ
This is only fine as long as new version of the game do not struggle to get players playing. CS:Go is direct improvement over CS 1.6 and CS2 is also big improvement over CS:Go. Current moder version of WoW isnt improvement of original game. They butchered everything what made WoW fun to play in first place and turned game into something completly different.
Its like one day you would play cs 1.6 and next day you play CS:go where main goal.of the game is to play football. You dont change game lime this ever.
retail got now like⌠the lowest subscribtion number in wow history. Youâre the minority, sorry. Even classic era/wotlk classic got lower queues times than DF right now. They are probably half if not more of the active atm subscribtions.
imagine unironically thinking the primitive version of WoW is the best WoW. Itâs like saying the first lightbulb, which is obsolete is the best lightbulb.
just let go lmao, I want to replay old Legion again but I aint waiting 10 years for it.
thatâs a personal opinion mate and no one is forcing you to play the game . i think itâs way more fun today and many people agree with me.
queue times donât mean that there arenât many players . wotlk is filled with bots youâd knew that if you had any experience. classic servers are not even full there are just a few high servers and you have the audacity to say it has more players
It isnt becouse modern lightbulb is still lightbulb. Modern WoW is completly different game compared to its original and nobady asked for this. Nobady wanted to play different type of game. We just wanted improved version of original not completly different game.
Its not so simple. Shooter formula is simple: Shot or be shoot at. Nothing else to do.
WoW is different. We got the same âkill dragon for shinny lootâ idea yet the age of MMORPGs are over. Back then âcharacter progressionâ which could take weeks if not months was all the rage. Now⌠I can ask my little nephew if he wants to play a game where you will reach the end-game in a week if you no life itâŚhe will laugh at me and go back to playing his Fortnight or whatever.
Heck even remember some FMLs where some claimed that their husbands missed their weedings or dates or whateverâŚcause they had to play WoW. SUREâŚI am not saying that its 100% true fact but it does give a general idea on how people played WoW back then.
So lets not be naive and think that if WoW would have remained the same as it was back then, we would still be at 12M subs. People would STILL have left simply cause they couldnt afford to waste that much time anymore. So WOW had to change to get on with the â20 mins pew pewâ era. I dont agree with every change they did but âOnly those who change and adapt to changing times will surviveâ.
exactly. Nobody asked for a new game. So thatâs why most of the wow player base left. Left on private servers, classic servers, for other games or left by good. What they got right now, are just a minority that likes how noob friendly, sensitive and convenient retail became. Plus a few, like me, who still have faith that they can revamp retail. DF was decent compared to the last expansions, so⌠who knows.
Classic people are overly defensive about retails guys since they think that we want to âspoilâ their pure classic experience. WellâŚreturn the favor then. Leave your classic nostalgia at classic servers. Times have changed and the âmodernâ retail players have moved on with the timesâŚ
dude⌠youâre like just 1 milion subscribtioners left on DF at most⌠stop acting like you you know whats good for the game. This game used to have 10 milions+ . Youâre the minority!
The one thing I prefer with the vanilla version was the sense of purpose. Retail feels very superficial and has done since wotlk.
Thereâs just no reason to engage with most of the game bar what blizzard deems mandatory unless you want to which I think is good but it makes for a disjointed experience. Lots of words to say raid logging being a viable way to play.
AhaâŚand you got this number from where exactly. Nvm. I know the answer. Ok.
Are there are 12M subs on classic right now since its Wotlk after all when WoW was at its peak?
Please dont tell me that you are one of the classic Andyies who believe if they make retail WoW vanilla-wotlk 2.0 and puff all of a sudden 12M subs will fall from the sky and we will all live happily ever after.
Thatâs cus I never play end game. Never have. When I level I level a whole realm and work as a team of my own chars creating and feeding each. I give myself very difficult challenges like never doing a single quest, not using a mount, never using gear or a weapon and then set forth on my journey to cap. I very often just delete a whole realm of chars and start over.
So I only work with an XP bar active and when it expires and I reach cap I close that character down. Game over until the next expansion is launched. The character I am posting on here has never ever done anything and yet with no gear or even training is level 70. She was been levelling each expansion when released to cap and generally after a week max gets shut down for two years. I just love the open world of Warcraft and playing on my own.
