On layering abuse, it's disgusting and blizz is doing almost nothing about it for how long now?

So you don’t care enough to read even the blue post where they talking about the issue, but you just assume the community overreacts? Look, I don’t mind if you are just enjoying the game, and don’t give a damn about layering. But many of us does. I also enjoy the game, but it feels really bad to experience the side effects of layering. Many of us didn’t want it in the game, but now it’s here. I accept that, but I want Blizzard to do their best to fix these issues. If you don’t care, that’s fine, you don’t have to, altough you will also experience these side effects, even if you are not abusing the system yourself.

I mean they are right, layer hopping is not that huge of problem for economy, there are people farming rare mats in each layer anyway , it is layers them self that will leave effect on economy for a while after they are removed and resources get used up, also will speed up progression.

It’s more about the the distribution and the availability of these mats. Many people say it doesn’t matter who gets these resources, their amount on the market will be the same, so prices won’t change, right? While this is true, the main problem is, by layer hopping the most hardcore farmers obtain way more mats than they should’ve. As an average player on paper you are competing with that 2-3k people on your layer. However occasionally a hopper will come, and if they are lucky (or carefully planned their route), they completely wipe out your layer aswell.

So how does this affect you? There are 2 possibilites:

  • if there are many layers with low population cap, these otherwise rare materials could flood the market. As a buyer you could be happy, because they will be cheap, but as a seller it is really bad of you don’t abuse layer hopping. We can reach a point where it doesn’t even worth the time to farm the rare resources in the traditional way, because it gives such a low income.
  • with reasonable amount of layers it could be easy just to wipe all layers clean within one route. This means if there are enough dedicated players server wide, they can form oligopoly over certain items, skyrocketing their prices.

No, problem is that each layer has their own resources, so if you have 7 layers in 1 server in place of just 1 sever without 7 layers you get server with inflated resources that will drastically collapse after layer merge, but ofc there will be plenty of player who have horded resources for a while.
