I’ve read the recent blue post about layering and as blizz claims it’s not that critical. But it absolutely can’t be overlooked. Prime example of yesterday, broken tooth, the mainstream hunter pet with respawn timer of 7 hours more or less which makes it extremely hard to get. But does it now? I’ve had a chance to witness 6 tames / kills over the 6 hours period while layer hoping. And that increases one’s chance to get a rare pet by a lot.
Same thing is happening with all resources in game. Instead of stack of thorium bars in banks, there are 6 or who knows how much more.
For fellas saying that number of resources per player on server remains the same, tell me, are you still going to claim that when tourists return to retail, and some individuals are left with empty banks and some with full?
I lost count how many XP and drop exploits there are. Layering is the worst, but certainly not the only one.
U know that brooken tooth isnt as op as it was in eralier patches, still good but not as op as some think, and i dont realy care about some hunter having their pets, what concerns me more is probably ruined economy (even if blizz said it has no impact) and most important, those bloody spammers…
He’s broken for a reason and will be for a while, casters tears can confirm that

The pet eats through all the casters since it has a low attack speed.
Well while this is true, its not like “oh u got that pet u gona win”… And also since his aa is no longer shadow dmg as it used to be hes not that strong
I’m not that big on hunters, but isn’t Broken tooth actually the strongest one in 1.12 build? Doesn’t matter if he’s weaker if he’s still the best.
Like, i think he is, but then again, how often u gona be 1v1 against hunter and say “damn if he hasnt used layering to get that pet i would totaly own him”? He wont be as rare as he was, but that still isnt biggest problem with layer hoping, imho

But Blizzard told you it is all lies, there are no affect on economy, neither grinders that auto layer-hop to refresh their grind spot… layering is good! Layering works perfect! Just added a cooldown on that thing.

My 2 cents but based on the infortmation we have on how many layers there are. how many players there were back on a full server 15 years ago, id say we are ok. how can you expect there to be only one broken tooth on golemagg when there are approx 10 to 15 times more players on the server than the full servers of old. (this is a conservative estimate based on what blizz said about number of layers in a blue post and how much each layer can hold and the fact that we have a queue)
So blizz confirms the community is overreacting and people keep making threads because they can’t accept they are wrong.
I remember that some guy was mildly complaining about a quest mob spawn time on the general chat. Like, you know, thats how vanilla works after all so normally we would just deal with it and wait for the resp.
And then someone /lold at him and told him to just abuse the layering like everyone else is doing…
Blizz, please… Right now it feels like a crappy private server. And I personally feel like a weirdo by not participating in that world-wide layering abuse.
What are you talking about? Blizzard just admitted layering is exploitable, with these exact words. Yes, they also proved there were some fake screenshots, but it doesn’t change the fact that layering has negative effects on the game, and fixes are still not implemented. But at least Blizzard is working on these fixes, which prooves exactly the opposite of what you are saying: there are big issues with layering right now, and Blizzard has to adress these as fast as possible.
If the fixes make it live and they turns out to be working, say thanks to those people, who raised their voice on these forums, and told Blizzard their concerns while you were writing sarcastic one liners at their expense.

Yeah i usually tend to overreact if i spot a cheater in a “mostly” game free from cheats.
